RazielSabre Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Thread derailment is like an avalanche...once it starts it's going to happen, the only question is how long it will last and how much permanent damage is done :P Damn the Avs have a huge amount of FA's to sign. I'm done.
Fire Lindy Ruff NOW Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 YEAH BABY! LETS GO PHOENIX! come on phoenix and florida stanley cup final!
millbank Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 Interesting couple a nights ahead with the game sevens. Suppose anything can happen, but don't see Washington or Ottawa winning , each lost their chance with home loses. Devils - Florida , a much harder call.

I'm sick of this rat thing.

I think either Ottawa or Washington is going to win, because I think both games are relative coin flips. I just don't know which. I read a stat today that the Caps and Bruins have been tied for 71% of the series, with the Caps being ahead 17% of the time and Bruins being ahead 12% of the time. If that's not a coin flip I don't know what is. I also think the Devils are going to win, although that series has ended up far closer than I ever thought it would.

Any of the three games based on what we have seen thus far are coined flips. Just have the feeling of a Beat down in Boston tonight and Rangers winning a bit closer a game say around 3-1. Must admit to not caring a great deal as to wins between Devils and Florida, this one a coin flip in all ways for me... Whatever the case certainly has been a eventful first round of playoffs.
Weave Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 LOL Mike Milbury on NBCSports is talking about the controversial goal by Chris Neil and called it "water under the dam". Hey Mike, it is either "water under the bridge" or "over the dam".
deluca67 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Posted April 25, 2012 You may want to hold off on any thinly-veiled Kovalchuk gloating until we see what happens in game 7...since ya know, he's never been on a team which made it out of the 1st round. Just sayin :P Please, if he were pointless this thread would have about 100 more posts in it. Kovalchek has played well this season and has produced in the playoffs. He is actually a point a game player for the Devils in the playoffs. In that same series Kris Versteeg is playing really well after a good season. I do recall Versteeg is another player I thought the Sabres should have gone after. Imagine if Versteeg was a Sabre and Leino a Panther. That is a "what if" that would have made the Sabres a much better team.

Imagine if Versteeg was a Sabre and Leino a Panther. That is a "what if" that would have made the Sabres a much better team. Versteeg had a nice season, no doubt about it. But he also got 19:55 of ice time, while Leino averaged 15:55. Versteeg got 231 minutes of PP time this season, while Leino got 75. Now, obviously a big part of Leino's lower totals was due to his own failure, and I'm not about to assume Versteeg would have failed in the same fashion, but I also don't think Versteeg would have gotten the same ice time here he did in Florida, which would mitigate his positive impact. Would the Sabres have been better? Maybe. Much better? Probably not.
millbank Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 yikes that feeling about beat down,,,, must have been gas......

TrueBlueGED Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Team that scores first in this series is 5-1.

Stafford's numbers (playing 1st line), but much less physical, nice speed with a tricky wrister.....not a bad player, but not particularly strong on the puck either. He was a nice right-hander for Campbell to pass to on the PP...but beyond that...

millbank Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 when i hear water and Milbury, i don't think water over or under anything, i think water in the shorts.......
OverPowerYou Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 I wouldn't be surprised if Ovechkin has a significant injury. He's been incredibly slow in these playoff games.
TrueBlueGED Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Game 7 overtime...what more could you ask for?
millbank Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Game 7 overtime...what more could you ask for? glad to be a observer rather than be rooting for either team, otherwise it would be to tense for me. If it were team I cared about, would be heading out for a long walk, couldn't watch it...
TrueBlueGED Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Wait, wait, wait...hold on....Milan Lucic, Destroyer of Worlds, didn't single-handedly smite the perpetually soft Caps and carry his team? Damn, there goes that theory. Edit: To expand...Boston out-hit Washington 36-23 tonight and lost. (Yes, DeLuca, I'm poking you :P )
Taro T Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Looks like once again Tim Thomas won't be going to the White House.
