grinreaper Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 I think Briere now has more playoff goals since he left than the whole Sabres team during the same time period.
Iron Crotch Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Quite a game for Danny Briere... made the play on that goal by Read.
X. Benedict Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Quite a game for Danny Briere... made the play on that goal by Read. Both were easy goals, and the both plays were made for him. But give him credit, Danny goes to the right spot.
Weave Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Damn. 6 goals in the 1st period. Fans are getting their money's worth but that is more sloppy hockey. Both teams are swinging for the fences. I do like the gamesmanship Crosby is pulling out there. I'd love to see that kind of headgames from our stars once in a while. Granted, it looks kind of silly when you are getting your ass handed to you. :P
Weave Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Dude, he's LOSING the headgame! I know. That was the thought behind my last sentence. It is kind of odd seeing a Pittsburgh team that was so composed during their last run become so unhinged during this run. And it is pretty much the same core. Could Talbot be the key? :P
deluca67 Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Dude, he's LOSING the headgame! It's great to see a player like Crosby get involved like that.
TheChimp Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Holy God. The Cup is Philly's to lose this year, hands down.
X. Benedict Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Holy God. The Cup is Philly's to lose this year, hands down. Whoa....there is a lot of hockey left.
TheChimp Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Whoa....there is a lot of hockey left. Um, yeah, there is. And if Philly isn't playing hockey in June they did it to themselves. These guys are built to win.
Eleven Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Much smarter, more composed game by Pitt in the second so far.
TrueBlueGED Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 I fully expect a lot of $2500 fines to be handed out after this game  Good job NHL, your discipline system is working wonderfully!
OverPowerYou Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Imagine if the Flyers had a healthy Pronger
Eleven Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Imagine if the Flyers had a healthy Pronger  Someone would be dead by now.
Iron Crotch Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Plenty of time for Pittsburgh to come back and win this game. Especially with the firepower they have up front.
TrueBlueGED Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 Maybe I just jinxed them.... Don't worry, Fleury will get them right back to their 2 goal lead. Plenty of time for Pittsburgh to come back and win this game. Especially with the firepower they have up front. I don't think any team has the firepower to overcome the way Fleury has played this series.
deluca67 Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 I fully expect a lot of $2500 fines to be handed out after this game  Good job NHL, your discipline system is working wonderfully! It is making for some great hockey.

Looks like Jagr is playing that role for Philly this year.

Weave Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 The scary thing about Philly is all of their young talent. If they manage to hang on to all those kids well into their 2nd contracts that team is going to be a force for quite a few years.
TheChimp Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 This is awesome. someone's gonna win this one 13-12.
