Claude_Verret Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 So many young whippersnappers! I think we all need to change our avatars to cowbells......... Oh wait..... I guess this explains why nobody got this. Too young to have been around on the sister forum circa 03/04.
LabattBlue Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Why do I now picture you wearing a beanie and walking up to Korab, Eleven, Dwight, Shrader, and X at a poker table stating "are you guys playing cards?" :w00t:
K-9 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 I actually dislike animal house... sorry. How do you feel about girls wearing rubber gloves in a sporty convertible? GO SABRES!!!
IKnowPhysics Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 Thread recap: Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor???!! Seriously? EPIC FAIL. The Japanese bombed Pear Harbor. Normally I would not care about a fact like this but it was and is one of the most important events in American history. The Japanese fleet bombed pearl harbor. OMG Liger's never seen Animal House. O. M. G. I actually dislike animal house... sorry. Seriously? EPIC FAIL. Normally I would not care about a fact like this but it was and is one of the most important events in American history.

There is a generation of Americans who feel that movie line scores only slightly lower on any list of "the most important events in American history".

Thank God Hollywood isn't necessarily a true representation of history. I can't help but think that future generations will think that Leo did actually proclaim ' I'm the king of the world ' on the bow of the Titanic. So many already do base their historic beliefs on the hollywood-isation of the facts as it is.
The_Swannie_House Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 I think we all need to change our avatars to cowbells......... Oh wait..... I got a fever
nfreeman Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 LGR, I'd like you to meet Sidney, Muhammed, Jugdish and...Clayton. You were really making strides, too. Oh well.
wonderbread Posted April 5, 2012 Author Report Posted April 5, 2012 Well this thread has been completely derailed.

I am reminded of Joe Biden speaking about the President's authorization of Seal Team Six taking out Bin Laden. "You can go back 500 years". "You cannot find a more audacious plan". That would be news to the organizers of D Day, or to Bonaparte on the eve of his invasion of Russia.
Taro T Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 LGR, I'd like you to meet Sidney, Muhammed, Jugdish and...Clayton. You were really making strides, too. Oh well. Young Liger, I've given this a lot of thought, from now on your name is 'Flounder.'
Neo Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 Young Liger, I've given this a lot of thought, from now on your name is 'Flounder.' "He's a legacy from Harrisburg."
darksabre Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 Young Liger, I've given this a lot of thought, from now on your name is 'Flounder.' Oh boy is this great!
bunomatic Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 I actually dislike animal house... sorry. 1941. Now that was a movie.
darksabre Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 1941. Now that was a movie. To Hollywood, and glory!
LGR4GM Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 Well there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade.
Claude_Verret Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 I got a fever Nice. Now as long as we ALL don't take on your avatar the Sabres should get in!
North Buffalo Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 This is rich, I just hit HS when Animal House came out and then proceeded to live it four years later at Geneseo State. Liger/Flounder you have no idea what drunken debauchery you are misinterpreting. Kinda of like if you remember the 60s you were either too young or not there. I was too young... Animal House was followed by another cult classic... Porkies!

Claude_Verret Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 I've always thought that PCU was an underated movie. I love when they give the vegan hippie feminist protesters the meat shower!
Punch Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 I've always thought that PCU was an underated movie. I always thought it was funny that Jeremy Piven went from being the wisea** student in PCU to the Dean in Old School.
NowDoYouBelieve Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 This coulda been the best thread on this message board, but you're gonna let it be the WORST.
qwksndmonster Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 A lot of my friends can quote it on demand too. The problem stems from the generation proceeding ours (think the early 90's kids...yeah...those ones). Nope. Born in '93 and I'm right there with the rest of you. My generation is pretty pathetic about these things, though so it's likely that I'm in the minority
