deluca67 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 He's not comparing the games. It's the idea that we fans need to really appreciate that nothing is over until it's over. All I know is I have another game to cheer them on at the moment. I'll gladly take it. I'm not sure my heart can but I've seen too many games over too many years across too many sports to know that far stranger things have happened than the Sabres making the playoffs this season. GO SABRES!!! You can't blame fans for showing frustration in a game against a team that has nothing to play for and is starting a rookie goalie.
SDS Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 The point is, you shouldn't need a "comeback" against the Leafs at this point of the season. I'm perfectly capable of making my own points. And you're perfectly capable of missing them. We're both champions at something.
... Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 A team doesn't have to be that good. One line does. Take a look at the stat line in the 1st period. Take a look at Sulzer's play on many of those goals. Hard to say that happens when you Myers is in there. I don't disagree with your point. Clearly, Myers and Ehrhoff mean a lot to the team; all I'm saying is that I wish that weren't true, but, rather, that the rest of the team can pick up the slack somehow, especially against a bad team. It makes me wonder exactly what kind of improvements they're going to try and make to roster over the summer. Will they look for another stud D man? I think they should based on games like this where they're clearly at a disadvantage when the current studs are out.
sabresfan36 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 The sabres are like a old couple trying to have sex....can't get it up in the first.....hit up the Viagra and have a fracking raging ###### the rest of the night but still need moments to rest up and the puck ends up in their net
Eleven Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Someone always can ###### misery out of the jaws of elation, I guess. Cut it out, guys. It was a great game and a good win. EDIT: The blocked out word is s-n-a-t-c-h. It's a verb, in this usage.
FolignosJock Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Maybe the league has decided the underdog Sabres makes a better post-season storyline. I would have felt like their was league involvement but I just watched the replay of that goal and the ref is right on it following and pointing at the puck the whole time I think he actually pointed it out to Leopold
darksabre Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Team Storm Cloud puts away the champagne for another night. PTR I don't even want to hear it. TSC this and SKC that. I don't care. I'm on Team Sabres. And that's the only team I recognize. The point is, you shouldn't need a "comeback" against the Leafs at this point of the season. Take this knife, and put it in your stomach.
wjag Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 With my 9000th post I say good night.. It was a great ride tonight... Bring on the Flyers Game Summary ( *3) :w00t: :wallbash: :flirt: :wallbash: :worthy: :worthy:
K-9 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 winnipeg 5-4. That point that Florida didn't get could loom large. They HAVE to win tomorrow against the Caps and/or their last game of the season in order to beat us out if we sweep. We own the tie breaker against the Panthers. I love this game. 80 games and it's still not settled. GO SABRES!!!
... Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 ...Foligno hanging his jock for the world to see. What a man!
K-9 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 You can't blame fans for showing frustration in a game against a team that has nothing to play for and is starting a rookie goalie. It's not about blaming fans for showing frustration. GO SABRES!!!
26CornerBlitz Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 ...Foligno hanging his jock for the world to see. What a man! Agreed!!! Zack Who?
Stormin Norman Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 I'm a train wreck. I spent so much time in the game being PO'd that it may not be until tomorrow morning that I can enjoy this one!
Neo Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 The most dramatic impact of the deadline moves was one I never considered. It's not the potential of Hodgson, nor the surprise of Sulzer. It's the ice time afforded Foligno.
darksabre Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 ...Foligno hanging his jock for the world to see. What a man! Future captain. Without a single doubt.
qwksndmonster Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 All you Roy haters shut up for one night Right before he scored his first goal I said "I don't think I've ever seen one of Roy's point shots get through." I kept screaming negative things at him for the rest of the game. Lindy was just trying not to fall off the bench! I rewatched it. On repeated attempts at the hug Lindy just kept pushing him away. Undeniable proof that he's a Luke Adam molester. The point is, you shouldn't need a "comeback" against the Leafs at this point of the season. You're absolutely right. But that's an awfully negative (and boring) way to look at ridiculously fun game.
deluca67 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 I don't even want to hear it. TSC this and SKC that. I don't care. I'm on Team Sabres. And that's the only team I recognize. Take this knife, and put it in your stomach. :w00t:

EDIT: The blocked out word is s-n-a-t-c-h. It's a verb, in this usage. Ha! That damn filter again. Now if it were one of my favorite band names: "Snatches Of Pink"..... That I could see.
rickshaw Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Canucks are playing Ducks tonight. First comment of the game, "Getzlaf has 9 goals on the season, and 1 in his last 32." Too all the people who sad they'd trade Myers for him straight up, shame on you.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 Game 80 and Derek Roy still has his training wheels on.
