In the off-season, we may want to attain a Center who can handle Crosby/Malkin a little better than what we currently have...

You're right, teams always want to trade away elite defensive centers.

To expand upon, this: it's not happening. Our only chance is moving to the necessary position in the draft to get Galchenyuk, and even then he's a year away from the NHL and several NHL seasons away from being able to handle 2 of the top 5 players in the game.

Two plays that exemplify why Crosby is such a great player.

1) The scramble in front of the Pens net where Roy had a great chance, it was Crosby diving and blocking the shot.

2) Early in the second where Foligno had the puck in the Pens zone and Crosby stopped him dead in his tracks with a shoulder and the puck went the other way.

I hope the young guys like Ennis, Foligno and Hodgson are watching Crosby and learning how the game should be played.

Maybe they should look into getting that FA from Nashville, I think his name is Gaustad, heard he handled Malkin rather well the last time he faced Pittsburgh......

21:37 to glory + a goal

Actually, that's the person I was thinking of...

You can't possibly expect him to do that on a consistent basis. I admire what Gaustad had been doing, but let's be realistic.
