Weber and McNabb are the two that could step up.

 

That makes the most sense. But is there anyone on the farm that has the offensive capability of either Ehrhoff or Sekera?

For the season, or this game? He's replaceable for the season, but this game we can't lose more bodies, particularly those who are defensively responsible.

If this is how games are going to be called down the stretch, some physical d men may not be a bad idea.

Sekera will be fine I think. Ehrhoff is hopefully not as bad as people are thinking. Positive energy folks (both will be fine). McNabb is not a horrible back-up plan so we need to have at least one back soon (but they will both be fine) - learn it, know it, live it!!

 

Way to play Buff, keep it up.

The third period is about survival. Quick changes, puck up the wall and out of the zone.

 

Stay out of the penalty box.

 

Slow the game down. Whistles are the Sabres best friend in the third period. Don't let the remaining D-men get caught on the ice for long shifts.

This third period will be one where guys like Leino are going to have to take over with their strong puck possession skills. Keep the puck deep in their end to give the 4 dmen as much of a break as possible.

Thanks man. Even RJ coulnd't explain it better than that. ;)

 

It was the deek... that put the goalie in motion a tiny bit.. second time in three games Pom has used it effectively. That will now go in the book and he will not get away with it again, :blink: If thats Vanek with him the book says he passes 70 % of the time, but much earlier

In other news, Stamkos with his 54th tonight against Boston. I love his game, wish he was in a real hockey market.

P.S. Harry Neale is a horrible announcer and RJ should tell him to keep his mouth shut. The guys makes the most unintelligent comments during the game of any announcer. I miss Lorentz.

Good point. Looks like the refs are practicing swallowing their whistles so they'll be in playoff form.

We gotta go out and get some more German defensemen. Is Hecht too old to convert to a d-man? :D

 

The Germans have always been noted for their offense. Just ask Poland, France, Belgium etc.
