That Aud Smell Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 My man Foligno has almost made me forget about my favorite prospect Kassian that we traded away. it is funny how the best player the sabres "got" out of that kassian deal looks to be foligno, not hodgson.
LastPommerFan Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Cunneyworth is not coaching for his job, they had already decided he wasn't the permanent choice when he was give the job earlier this year. He is a place filler til the offseason when they can find a french speaking coach. He was never given a fair chance in Montreal to show he could do the job just win. Excited to see the obligatory Myers fight. Hopefully it will end there and not result in continual silliness throughout the night. I don't expect too much nonsense, I think Cunneyworth is coaching for his a job. Better?
spndnchz Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Well. Boyes and Roy not on the ice either. Teams falling apart.
TrueBlueGED Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Well. Boyes and Roy not on the ice either. Teams falling apart. .....or getting better
Doohicksie Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 it is funny how the best player the sabres "got" out of that kassian deal looks to be foligno, not hodgson. Jury's still out on Cody. I have high hopes for the boy.

Oakstream Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 So now that Myers is back, does Weber finally sit? I would play Sulzer before Weber.
mediumishot Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 So now that Myers is back, does Weber finally sit? I would play Sulzer before Weber. agreed, Weber is -6 Sulzer +2 and playing well....no brainer. BUT with Lindy, you're guess is as good as mine.
That Aud Smell Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Jury's still out on Cody. I have high hopes for the boy. oh, to be sure. i was just sorta funnin'. foligno will cool off. it's great to see, though, that he has some potential for top-6 upside (although i still think he ends up on the third line, long-term). Id say Sulzer seems to be in that race too no? he has exceeded expectations, for sure. playing with his countryman seems to have elevated him from a #7 to a #5/#6. for now.
R_Dudley Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 So now that Myers is back, does Weber finally sit? I would play Sulzer before Weber. I agree against Montreal because they are not a big physical team but would put Weber back in against the Rags Friday. This from NHL.com matchup With a 4-2-3 record in March, Montreal is mostly looking to play spoiler, as the majority of its remaining games are against Eastern Conference teams battling for playoff seeding. They can spoil everyones else's parade as far as I'm concerned but NOT Buffalo. We just need to play solid smart hockey and keep the momentum building. I really enjoyed seeing all 4 lines in the scoring Monday at Tampa but think 2 of the four scoring tonight with a sound defensive game should do it something like 3-2 Buffalo and how about in regulation at home since we have Fri-Sat babck to backs and could save some energy. Let's go Buff-a-lo
spndnchz Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 agreed, Weber is -6 Sulzer +2 and playing well....no brainer. BUT with Lindy, you're guess is as good as mine. Lindy says Kaleta out more than a few days. Roy, Boyes and Turnbull for tonight.
kishoph Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 You could always dress 7 D and sit Turnbull. I heard this morning that they were going to dress 7 D-men and that Turnbull will be up, but probably not play. Maybe Roy and Boyes are out for a maintenance day, Boyes scored the other day, he has to be exhausted.
LastPommerFan Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 So... Leino Roy Pommer Foligno Ennis Stafford Vanek Hodgson Tropp McCormick Boyes Turnbull Regher Sekera Myers Leopold Ehrhoff Sulzer/Weber Or does someone sit and play 7 Defensemen?

mediumishot Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 serious question: im dating a new girl (not from Buffalo) and she is getting into the team pretty hardcore. The problem is, every game weve watched together we've blown late, or lost. i like her and all, but is it worth the playoffs?
LGR4GM Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 My man Foligno has almost made me forget about my favorite prospect Kassian that we traded away. Ennis has officially become a future centerman for the buffalo sabres IMO. This has been great hockey these past couple weeks. Lets get it done!! p.s. I don't think Meyers will fight but rather someone else maybe, would love to see him step up and do it, but we are in a playoff race and can't afford to lose him if he gets hurt. So as much I would love to see him step up and fight, he shouldn't. Myers, TYLER MYERS! it is funny how the best player the sabres "got" out of that kassian deal looks to be foligno, not hodgson. I'd bet money that Hodgson pans out.

On the Kaleta front: Mike Harrington @BNHarrington Kaleta was seen in the locker room with his hand in a cast. (I was interviewing Lindy and did not see). Thumb appeared to be issue.

The problem is, every game weve watched together we've blown late, or lost. i like her and all, but is it worth the playoffs? Who cares if its late or not, just be glad that your getting it anytime, oh wait, your not bragging, your talking about the score in the Sabres games themselves. Forget my comment then. As for the question about her being worth the playoffs, theres a few questions you have to ask. 1. How old are you and how close are you to looking to find "the one"? (Basically if your young and just playing the field, there plenty of fish in the Sea, playoffs are inportant! If your older and looking to settle down, how confident are you that the Sabres could make it deep in the playoffs this year?) 2. How god looking are you and how well do you normally do? (If your a guy that can get any girl he wants and normally does well, again, theres plenty of fish in the sea) 3. (Sort of ties into 2) Who is the one settling in this relationship? (If shes out of your league and the one settling, theres always next year for the playoffs......) 4. How does she feel about letting you have your own interests right now that aren't shared? (Maybe you could still date and spend time together when teh Sabres aren't playing?) I think if you can answer those 4 questions you can figure out the answer to your own :flirt:
mediumishot Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 You got her to get into hockey. Enough said. Unfortunatley got her into the Bills before we started dating....can I be arrested for abuse?

Im handsome(my mom tells me all the time) 3. If shes sticking around for me during the Sabres season, im thinking shes settling 4. I think the big issue is that shes invested in them now too....were going to the Caps game next Tues Guess im keeping her around....she and I started hanging out a lot more when they went on this run....if we make it, shes a keeper, if we dont...is chz single and willing to relocate?

OTOH, the fact that you'd contemplate parting ways with a gal who's into hockey because of you is suggestive of something. EDIT: looking at the subsequent content from medium, i think i now see that the original post was in jest. mostly. sort of.
