Andrew Amerk Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Buffalo: 10-2-3 in last 15 Montreal: 3-0-3 in last 6 Who is hot for the Sabres: rookie Marcus Foligno, with 7 points in his last 5 games; Jason Pominville, with 7 points in his last 7 games; Drew Stafford, with 9 points in his last 4 games; and Tyler Ennis, with 9 points in his last 5 games. Ryan Miller 7-1-2 in his last 10 starts with a 2.15 GAA. Canadiens goalie Carey Price, meanwhile, is only 3-6-1 with a 2.77 GAA in his last 10.
LGR4GM Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Won't get to watch this one. Taking my dad to the 75th anniversary screening of "Casablanca". Lets go BUFFALO! ps. Ennis will get at least 3pts
Oakstream Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Must win. Is the Sheriff playing? Who's out if he's in?
OverPowerYou Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 I had a dream that we beat Tampa Bay 11-3...... So maybe those 4 missing goals show up in this game. Buffalo wins 4-0... The D gets 3 of the goals in a strange game
DumbPuck Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Miller vs Gomez II fix't. I will be attending this game so we will win.
Derrico Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Let's get the big win tonight against a very beatable opponent. Going to the game Saturday and I just wanted to matter.

dEnnis the Menace Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 The 21-63-82 line is on fire. I hope they can keep it going. It'll be a good one. Hopefully Myers is ready to step up, because I'd bet the Canadians are going to try to go after him.
LastPommerFan Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 just win. Excited to see the obligatory Myers fight. Hopefully it will end there and not result in continual silliness throughout the night. I don't expect too much nonsense, I think Cunneyworth is coaching for his job.
Derrico Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 No thanks, big wins for this team usually means they think they can take the next one off. Under that theory we're going to lose tonight.....
BetterDays06 Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 We know Myers won't fight Gomez, because Gomez has been out with a concussion since the hit. Idk if Myers can throw punches due to his previous surgery. Should be a gritty game montreals new acquisition staubitz seems to go after everyone. 4-2 buffalo. Foligno, Vanek, ehrhoff and leino score
Kristian Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Under that theory we're going to lose tonight..... No, Tampa's been our rented mule for years past. They don't figure in any Sabre-related superstitions, they just lose a lot :w00t:
spndnchz Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 No offense to the OP but with these GDT's can we get a home/away and time put on the title please. A game discussion tag and opponent city tag also. Makes for better searching later.

Does anyone on that team like Gomez enough to fight Myers? Not that Myers is intimidating - his one NHL "fight" was a tickle fight. I would love to see Myers just destroy a guy a la Playfair - he didn't fight often but when he did he wrecked people. If Myers were able to do that once in a while, teams would take him a little more seriously when he attempts to clear the crease.

That Aud Smell Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 a la Playfair - he didn't fight often but when he did he wrecked people. funny, that did not square with my memory. but then i looked at the #s http://www.hockeyfights.com/players/9895 Year By Year Fight Totals Season Fight Total Only years with fights are shown | Available seasons 1988-1989 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (3) 1987-1988 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (11) 1986-1987 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (7) 1985-1986 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (4) 1984-1985 Postseason Fight Card NHL (1) 1984-1985 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (7) 1983-1984 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (13) 1982-1983 Postseason Fight Card NHL (1) 1982-1983 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (7) 1981-1982 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (14) 1980-1981 Postseason Fight Card NHL (2) 1980-1981 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (5) 1979-1980 Postseason Fight Card NHL (1) 1979-1980 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (8) 1978-1979 Regular Season Fight Card NHL (5) and saw that you were right. one thing is for sure, as you note, larry could throw 'em.

Cunneyworth is not coaching for his job, they had already decided he wasn't the permanent choice when he was give the job earlier this year. He is a place filler til the offseason when they can find a french speaking coach. He was never given a fair chance in Montreal to show he could do the job
Marvelo Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 note to Gomez: what comes around, goes around. Have fun sitting.

spndnchz Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Looks like Kaleta is out tonight. He's wearing the red no-contact jersey at the morning skate.
apuszczalowski Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Imo they're waiting for Tampa to jettison their coach so he can step right in. GO SABRES ! I can just picture the want add for the coaching Job in montreal.(Of course the following is in French though) Speak French? Can you stand in skates while wearing a track suit? Well then we have a job for you! Apply with resume to the Bell Centre to be the Coach of the Montreal Canadians. Willing to train, no experience necessary with the game of hockey..... Looks like Kaleta is out tonight. He's wearing the red no-contact jersey at the morning skate. maybe he forgot his other practice jersey at home?
TrueBlueGED Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 I was expecting Myers to be given an award by the fans and team in montreal for hitting Gomez, thats how much they like him there Actually I'd guess they hate Myers for taking Gomez out of the lineup, since it makes their team better and they're trying to tank! Honestly though I hope some players take runs at Myers. I was a little concerned with the suspension that he'd scale back the physical play he had been showing lately, but if guys are making runs at him it should prevent that from happening (if it was even going to in the first place). I'd personally take another suspension if it plants Subban's face firmly in the boards :P

When i asked him how he could be wearing it after losing to the Leafs, he said he was happy with the loss cause it puts them closer to getting the #1 overall pick! As for Myers, my only problem is going to be that if he retaliates, it could get him another suspension cause Shanny might think he hasn't learned the lesson (He's not on a team thats allowed to hit)
ROCBuffalo Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 My man Foligno has almost made me forget about my favorite prospect Kassian that we traded away. Ennis has officially become a future centerman for the buffalo sabres IMO. This has been great hockey these past couple weeks. Lets get it done!! p.s. I don't think Myers will fight but rather someone else maybe, would love to see him step up and do it, but we are in a playoff race and can't afford to lose him if he gets hurt. So as much I would love to see him step up and fight, he shouldn't.
