Of course they tire, but it was in comparison to players that play every game so the comparison is pretty relevant. ;)

not to mention they get frozen vulcanized rubber fired at them at upwards of 90 mph 30-40 times a game. im pretty sure that takes a toll, mental and physical.

no one is defensive, just not agreeing with your "######" opinion, as you put it.

Whenever there is a "#####" posting on this board I like to pretend the word in question is something harmless like 'kittens' or 'bubbles'. It really helps to make the post sound less offensive and more silly. :P

Theodore's played 15 of the last 17 games and probably won't sit any time soon and there hasn't been one mention of him being tired. And he's 57 years old! Just sayin'....... :)

So what happens if you think of kittens AND Bubbles? Hehe.

Have you ever blown Bubbles? :flirt:

No, but I was almost blown by Bubbles. Unfortunately the price was too steep and I didn't want to risk the herp.

If you would pay a little extra you can get Kitten at the same time.

Playing pick up isn't the same as the pressure cooker of professional goaltending - it's more a mental game than physical at that level - sure, there are a few guys who can regularly play 70+ games a year at a high level, but they are the exception.

You shut your mouth :P , its tiring playing pickup goaltender too, sometimes more tiring because theres more work since most guys in pickup want to show off their goalscoring skills and you face more shots, like the All Star game.

As a goaltender myself in a weekly fun league, and in a ball hockey league (well I took this winter season off after being let go by my former team), and playing pickup about once a week, and playing out in pickup hockey in the winter time, I can agree, its just as tiring playing goaltender for a full game as it is playing forward or defence, sometimes worse. It takes alot out of you having to go down, make a save, get back up and make a save again or follow the play. As a forward/defencemen, you play short spurts and go off to the bench for a break, as a goalie you play short spurts making a save and then you may stand around for a bit.

Damn. Is it 7:30 yet?

after wading through the usual Hodgson sucks posts, which btw are complete BS, I think the sabres win this thing tonight because of good hard work and burying chances. Hodgson gets a goal tonight and the Sabres play well.

Yup.

Thataboy!!

As for my Miller comment earlier. He has let in 2 shortside shots the past two games. Those can't go in and they weren't in Cali.

This would be an opportune time for Vanek to remove head from rectum.

Overall, this is another key test for the Sabres. Will we see fragile little children, or a determined and intense team that doesn't hide under the bed and hope someone else steps up at crunch time?

I wish I felt more confident.

Wasn't this your post from a couple days ago? :D

Ouch.

But it's not my fault that a desultory 35-game stretch has left us with a series of critical games, with related redundant commentary.

I'll try to work up some new material.

I'm still on the Mario Williams hangover and it might still have some pretty good legs on it. It has definitely made the last few Sbares games easier to watch so it should be a good one tonight. I really think the Sabres have been pretty fun to watch for the last several games so we'll see if they can keep it up.

If they can't win vs Tampa with so much on the line, then I think we have our answer for the umteenth time. Get out with 2 points and we got a pretty fun race on our hands. Detroit needs to bring the A game tonight too....

You think the Panthers game was fun to watch? Oh yeah and that

was epic ... You still must have that hangover..

In your defense, that post is just as relevant today as it was the three previous times you used it. :P
