The announcer just said - "They're GOING to need him (Hodgson) to start producing"????? GOING??? They need him to produce NOW - right now - they could get squeezed out of the playoffs. Today is the day, not tomorrow. Hodgson needs somebody like me - a real sarcastic SOB - to remind him after EVERY period - "Hey, Cody - you have not scored any points yet!! Is the next period gonna be the magic moment, ay, when you're gonna grace us all by actually accomplishing what you were hired and paid to do???"

having his stick on the ice when he goes to the net would help

All Hodgson has done so far is cost us a goal with a dumb tripping penalty in front of the net - and the opponent scored on the ensuing PP. :(

"The more water Saber Tooth drinks, the healthier he feels"

Funny, I could say the same for Irish whiskey -

AAAANNDDDDDDDDDDDD....

.....Cody Hodgson has now played 9 2/3rds games, without any points.

So why did we bring this guy on board again? Was it to find somebody even colder than Stafford and Roy to make them look good????

Are you insinuating "The Garnish" is not a worthy nickname?

Is that Leino's nickname? All rep, no substance?

Hodgson is another "Big Bear" without the one good game.

I couldn't care less how Hodgson or any other sabre does the rest of this season, as long as things change in the offseason. Plus, he's a rookie. They slump a lot. They obviously see a ton of upside to him, as does everyone around the league.

It's kind of a joke reference on this board for Stafford. Someone a couple weeks ago posted that Ennis was "the straw that stirs the drink." And then another poster suggested that if that were true, Stafford was the fruit garnish on the straw. Which quickly became "The Garnish."

Fitting, I think.

Biggest period of the season coming up. We'l see what they're made of.

Everytime I hear Leopold's name I think of that Bugs Bunny cartoon where he impersonated the famous conductor "Leopold" - When he walked to the podium there were all these whispered "Leopold" "Leopold" "Leopold"s from the audience and orchestra. lmao!!!!

With both of these teams supposedly fighting for their playoff lives I have to keep myself from nodding off. Strange that.

I agree. Games like this should have a playoff feel.
