87168 Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 If by 60 minutes you mean 14 minutes and 18 seconds, we agree. Gerbe works hard and is a valuable forechecker. The knock on Gerbe will forever be his size and on a team that is showing signs of being too small as it is, he really needs to bring something special to not be an obvious target for upgrading the team. You got my point. I don't understand the urge to nitpick.
nfreeman Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 https://twitter.com/...8846848/photo/1 That bloody molester. He probably told DR to trade for him because he wanted some fresh meat.
Robviously Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 https://twitter.com/...8846848/photo/1 Awesome. Lindy making sure we get the same incredible offensive production out of Hodgson that we've received from every other player we've traded for post-lockout.
inkman Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 You will never catch him not skating or working his balls off. All effort, all the time. ...and were still no sure he's an NHLer.
kishoph Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Gerbe.....i just don't get the fascination with this midget with heart....tropp & foligno played better. You will never catch him not skating or working his balls off. All effort, all the time. He plays hard for an entire 60 minutes every single game. He's an asset to this team in my opinion I have no problems with Gerbe being on this team, he has great hustle and work, two things this team has lacked severely. There are things that limit his production, one is his size which he can do nothing about, other than possibly change his style, he plays like a big man, unfortunately he's so small, it's hard to make it work. Maybe he can try to make his game a little more finesse, but that might just screw him up all together. He needs to learn his limitations, something I think has helped Ennis, you can't go through or get around everyone. In past games (not so much the last few) he has looked lost in the D-zone, it looked like he wasn't giving effort, but I believe that is a result of the way Lindy wants him to play there, to stay more in an area (zone) instead of attacking the puck carrier, this is fine, so you don't have all your players chasing 1 player, but if you have someone with the speed and hustle of Gerbe, utilize it. I think that Gerbe is a good 3rd line player and matching him with Kaleta seems to be a really good fit. Awesome. Lindy making sure we get the same incredible offensive production out of Hodgson that we've received from every other player we've traded for post-lockout. "Defense Cody, defense."
Robviously Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 "Defense Cody, defense." "Trust me, Cody. I haven't seen a young player as talented as you since we landed Steve Bernier."
nobody Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 "Trust me, Cody. I haven't seen a young player as talented as you since we landed Steve Bernier." Cody - this is the blue line. If you see one of your teammates on the other side of this then you don't skate the puck in.
Robviously Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 "What's that on the President's Trophy banner? Oh, we call that the 'Buffaslug.' Yeah, we're still not sure what it was supposed to be either. I guess we finally found the guy who came up with it. ..............Yeah, I know it's distracting. Just try not to look at it. ........What? No! If we win another Presidents Trophy, it won't be on the new banner. .............Look, just stop worrying about it. It's not our logo anymore!!!"

Amazing.
bcsaberks Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 Lindy admitted as much in his post game presser. Have you ever seem anyone brimming with confidence the way Tyler is? I am worried about his tiny little body and other teams targeting him once it's clear he's their best offensive player. Yes. Tim Connolly. Game 2 vs Ottawa in 06 playoffs.
