LET'S GOOOOO. OOH AHH SABRES ON THE WARPATH! Well deserved win, two mistakes the whole game (those obviously being the two MTL goals). I had no doubt in my mind they'd pull this one out.

Either way it boosts Montreal's point total and lowers their draft pick.... LOL

Well not quite yet... they need another 2 points to reduce their draft position.

Thought it was only SO wins that affect the tiebreaker

That's true, OT wins are part of the tiebreaker ROW wins. Only SO wins don't count. We could pass Florida if they continue dropping.

Man, the way Ennis has played the last few weeks it's hard to believe he only has 10 goals on the season. Imagine where he'd be if he hadn't missed all those games with the ankle injury.

Just a thought... is it possible Hodgson's TOI was so low because he's basically been run ragged over the past few weeks? The Canucks were just coming off a long road trip on the east coast when he was traded plus the travel back to Buffalo for his physical and visa before heading back out to join the Sabres on the west coast.

I'm not defending him or Lindy's decisions so much as that's a lot of jet lag in a short period for a rooke that was already mired in a brutal slump in Vancouver.

I certainly don't think that helped him at all. Already in a slump + new team + tons of travel + possibly hitting rookie wall. And despite all of that....if Stafford or Ennis could have converted some of his numerous nice setups we wouldn't be having this conversation. Also playing better competition as a member of the top 6 as opposed to a 3rd line guy.

There's definitely some merit to this thought. It's also a lot more games than he's played in prior seasons, which could be contributing as well. (He only played 60 last season between the AHL and NHL, and is already at 70 for this season.)

The Sabres won because I'm wearing my Yellow Sabres Slug Shirt.... They're like 6-0 when i've worn it while watching this year.... It's almost like I'm cursing a jinx... Is that even possible?

I don't know if this belongs in the NHL thread or whatever, but officiating is so pathetic. I love how they're talking at the GM meetings about slowing the game down by putting the red line back in.....slowing it down? Do they want it more boring than pre-lockout hockey? We're in a second dead puck era, period. I think there could be about 30 interference penalties every single game if the refs actually called them. Players haven't adjusted to the new rules, coaches haven't put new systems in place....the refs just don't enforce the rules. If the refs enforced things, everything else would fall into place. The clutching/grabbing is allowed to a shameful degree and if it continues to get worse I don't think the NHL will be able to maintain the growth the game has seen since the lockout.

Wow, that was some ending to the game - I couldn't post - I was doing my obligatory 30 minutes on the Nordic Track. :)

First, Roy flopping around like a beached fish on the ice in front of Miller for 10 seconds or more at the end of regulation???? C'mon, man!!!!! That was horrible even by Roy's standards. He actually interfered with Miller. If Roy had been a Hab, he'd have drawn a damn penalty.

Then Roy dug himself out of the dog house with that sweet pass back to Myers that set up the winning goal. Jeebus!!

Well, it was entertaining, I gotta say that! Roy would have had a solid game if it wasn't for that ugliness at the end of regulation.

Anyone else feel as if Ennis should be the1st line center? He's playing w/ more confidence and level of play than Coho and Roy. Aside from the ot setup, Roy looked looked terrible.
