spndnchz Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Pominville has two goals and one assist in the last three games. Assuming Foligno still here with Vanek, Kaleta, and Ellis injured. May see Cody Mac back tonight. Let's Go Buffalo!
thesportsbuff Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Pumped for the game. I have a bunch of buddies going but I decided not to shell out the money tonight. Markov back in the lineup for Montreal. Game Day Post: http://www.thesportsbuff.com/?p=1240
Oakstream Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 MUST WIN! Capitals have 4 more points, but they have alot more regulation wins, so Buffalo need to gain 5 points to pass them. A win here tonight is a must against the worst team in the conference.
Derrico Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Big game. I'm sure we will see Miller back in net tonight. Let's get the dubya.
NowDoYouBelieve Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 One game at a time. I'm afraid there's nothing the Sabres can do if Washington is poised for a hot streak, but beating the woeful Habs is a must in any case.
LastPommerFan Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Washington is about to play good teams (and the islanders) on the road. We are about to play a bunch of bad teams at home (and in Florida). Now is our time! CHARGE!!!!!!!
Kristian Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Hm Washington is about to play good teams (and the islanders) on the road. We are about to play a bunch of bad teams at home (and in Florida). Now is our time! CHARGE!!!!!!! Hmmmm..... Why does this scare the living bejezus out of me?
ROC Sabres Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Hm Hmmmm..... Why does this scare the living bejezus out of me? Kinda what I was thinking too. We have a good way of elevating, or should I say dropping, our level of play to bad teams.
ROCBuffalo Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 big game, it was good to see Foligno out there and get a goal. Ennis has been playing great hockey. I'm excited and nervous.
CallawaySabres Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Should be a good atmosphere tonight after Montreal's win at Vancouver. We better see Hodgson on line 1 with Ennis at C on line 2. Throw Roy on line 3 and I think the Sabres will have much better offense for the stretch run....
bunomatic Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Tonight Montreal is a first place team playing their best hockey. Thats how the Sabres should go into this game. We're ripe for a stinker so hopefully the boys bring it. After watching the habs kick Vancouver saturday night the sabres better not underestimate this squad. If they have the mindset that this is a bad team they are playing when in reality thats how they themselves should be labelled then they will lose this game. That being said tonight I have faith. GO SABRES !
Samson's Flow Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 The hab's only solid line this year has been the Cole - Pachioretty line. If we can shut them down they don't really have much secondary scoring. Having Markov back scares me as he played well and picked up a PPA in his first game back with almost 18mins of ice time. Not bad for his first game all year... Sabres need to play this one as if it is another top team. No letdown here. Need to not only tie washington but pass them as they have the tiebreaker of actual wins.
apuszczalowski Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 They should be able to beat the Toilet Seats, its just not as much fun beating them now though, almost all of the Habs fans I know right now have all been hit with the "Buffalo Sports" flu (i.e. Giving up hope before its done and hoping to suck for a draft pick) Catching Washington might not be a problem for the Sabres, that division is so bad that Washington going on a hotstreak might give them their division, then it becomes a race against Florida and the Jets. Although the Panthers doing get one win this week, the face the Leafs on Tuesday
Guest Sloth Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 The Sabres are due for a game where they score at least 4 goals in regulation. They've only done it 3 times since February 8th. I gotta feeling tonight is the night!
Tyrannustyrannus Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Oh look. It's a Vanek out there. as in he's practicing and will play tonight?
waldo Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Hm Hmmmm..... Why does this scare the living bejezus out of me? yep..bad teams we lose to.

GO SABRES ! ?? Sabres are 8-2-1 in their last 11 On a separate note, Foligno for Prez!!
inkman Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Foligno for captain. Only after Gerbe's stint with the "C".
TrueBlueGED Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Oh look. It's a Vanek out there. Maybe it's me, but I'd rather see Vanek take tonight off and have a few extra days of rest to actually heal. We can beat Montreal without him, and I'd rather he get to 90% for the stretch run than 80% because he plays tonight.

WGR says it was basically a stiff neck that kept him from playing Saturday, and that it feels a lot better now. I don't think playing tonight is going to cause any set backs.
