K-9 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 No even 5 games in buffalo and already he's turning into the next stafford/roy/miller/................................................ No, not at all. I'm not sure where you're getting that from. He's had a tough few games on the defensive side of things, that's all. Canuck fans had the same concerns. I can see why. That said, he's gonna be a good player for a long time once he learns the game a bit more. I don't think anyone wanted Stafford, Roy, or Miller run out of town in their rookie years. That's a bit much even for the darkest of storm clouds. GO SABRES!!! Ok it's a tie going into the 3rd....just when my leg finally stopped shaking from being nervous. Are you sure that's just from being nervous? GO SABRES!!!
Lanny Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Darcy's trades starting to look like garbage again. We have been horrible on faceoffs since Goose left and Hodgson hasn't contributed anything. Fans wanted them to sell cause they weren't going anywhere, now there are complaints that they aren't going anywhere cause they sold? Not sure of your view specifically, just surprising to see some longing for gusted considering the situation.
K-9 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 wow, that is lame - you did see Hoff's crappy pass behind Hodgson, right? Or did you really miss that ? Yeah, I saw that on the replay after my post. No doubt it was a tough pass to handle. And the Bruins couldn't have gotten luckier on the bounce. But still. Anyway, my opinion isn't based on that one play. He's had three poor games in a row in the defensive zone. Did YOU really miss that? Is that lame enough for you? GO SABRES!!!
Guest Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Now I see exactly the same things I see about habs fan: one day players are heroes and the day after they are jerks! Being from a distance gives you some clearance! Everybody around the NHL says Darcy did good! Stay calm and chive on! Kassian 2 pts since trade, Hodgson 0 pts since trade. Fans wanted them to sell cause they weren't going anywhere, now there are complaints that they aren't going anywhere cause they sold? Not sure of your view specifically, just surprising to see some longing for gusted considering the situation. I never wanted them to sell and I sure didn't want them to trade the two they did. Speak for yourself.
Claude274 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 yeah so? No big deal! Maybe next week he'll do 6 pts and zack will do.....NADA!
Derrico Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Kassian 2 pts since trade, Hodgson 0 pts since trade. Buffalo's record since trade: 4-1-0 Vancouver's record since trade: 1-2-1
K-9 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Kassian 2 pts since trade, Hodgson 0 pts since trade. I never wanted them to sell and I sure didn't want them to trade the two they did. Speak for yourself. And both against Buffalo, ironically. But seriously, are we really gonna grade this trade after five games? Is every point either gets and the other doesn't a referendum on the relative merits of the deal? GO SABRES!!!
kishoph Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I'm not going to dog Hodgson, it's way to early to see what he's about, but he was put on a pedestal way too quick.
Punch Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Kassian 2 pts since trade, Hodgson 0 pts since trade. I hope Ted Black convinces Terry Pegula to erect a statue of Kassian in the lobby of the F'N Center and Darcy loans Hodgson's contrast to the Texas Stars. Le Magnifique!
Guest Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 yeah so? No big deal! Maybe next week he'll do 6 pts and zack will do.....NADA! What's your point? If my aunt had a penis she would be my uncle. And maybe Hodgson won't score at all while Kassian is NHL player of the week next week. I want to see production. This 3rd period would be a great time for Hodgson to get on the stat sheet, and not with a penalty.
SarasotaSabre Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Yeah, I saw that on the replay after my post. No doubt it was a tough pass to handle. Did YOU really miss that? Is that lame enough for you? GO SABRES!!! If you want to tie a bad play caused by Ehrhoff's crappy pass that hit the back of CoHo's skates to supposed poor defensive play in other games, then have at it. I think calling him a liability is a bit premature - but we'll see.
Lanny Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I never wanted them to sell and I sure didn't want them to trade the two they did. Speak for yourself. Keeping gausted would have been a waste of a 1st round pick, trade was far from garbage
sabres1970 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Jack Edwards is an imbecile. On a separate note, I hate Marchand.

I think calling him a liability is a bit premature - but we'll see. let's see CoHo score in the 3rd & we'll both be happy .....!!!
K-9 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Jack Edwards is an imbecile. On a separate note, I hate Marchand. No need to insult imbeciles like that. GO SABRES!!!
TheMatrix31 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Two-points! Two-points! Two-points! **slams fist against table in rhythm**
Guest Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I'm not going to dog Hodgson, it's way to early to see what he's about, but he was put on a pedestal way too quick. Bingo! Most people were making it sound like we just traded for the next great center in Sabres history. I never mentioned this at all. I would rather see the kid play before assuming anything. The fact he has had back problems in the past doesn't make me feel all giddy either. Hockey isn't the best sport for a back.
Claude274 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 If your aunt has a penis....... stay away! My point is you can't judge a guy after games and he had to go from Vancouver to Buffalo to go back west and play three games in a row! I would be put also! Like last game against the Jets, the guys had no legs after second period!
Guest Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Keeping gausted would have been a waste of a 1st round pick, trade was far from garbage  I didn't realize that 1st round pick turned out to be so good.
bunomatic Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I did say I'd be patient with Hodgson so I will but if he's part of the 'new' core going forward and possibly a big part of our offence I'd at least like to see a sniff of productivity. I watched him quite a few times in Vancouver and he was noticeable in a good way. We can only hope.
inkman Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Tropp with Ennis & Hodgson. Stafford benched? Hurt? Tropp moved up?
zow2 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Hodgson has done nothing to impress me. Not going to write him off but I'd like to see him more than a minus every other game.
