qwksndmonster Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 I think this this game will be tougher than Vancouver. I would definitely play Enroth and just try and get a point out of it..... What kind of attitude is that? The Sabres are in no position to "just try and get a point." Go out on the ice and play your @ss off for sixty minutes or more. Anything less than victory is failure. At least that's how the players should see it.
ROCBuffalo Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 I also think Enroth should start tonight so Miller can start against the Canucks. The second line did play well but I think Ennis is a better player at center (I think he is good at wing as well) and Leino is not a good center. I think Boyes should be moved up and Kaleta on the 4th line. Just my opinion. We'll see how this plays out.
darksabre Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 The Canucks are playing St. Louis tonight. I'd expect them to start Luongo. Maybe we see Schneider on Saturday?

We all know how this team is built and what happens after a tough fought game where Miller stood on his head. Enroth has it in him so give Miller a chance to win against Vancouver. Back to back on the West Coast trip right after the angst of the trade deadline does not spell the easiest of nights for this group.
R_Dudley Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Enroth, thats gotta have been a tough game last night for Miller so rest him. Agreed and maybe he also got to spend some quality time with the wife so that's a double wear you out. ;) It was nice to see Hodgson look pretty good out there last night for the first time with the new team/linemates. Overall team play was pretty solid for the first two periods and were able to hang on for the 3rd. Sad it took this long for this team to start playing like this again but I am a greedy bastard so I say, Thank you Sir may I have another.

Definitely not, but I'd like to see them win anyways, and every game from here on out is a must-win.

So far, so good, but they can't afford to take their foot off the gas even a little bit.
spndnchz Posted March 1, 2012 Author Report Posted March 1, 2012 Leino's longest goal-less streak is 13. Tonight is game number 14. Hat trick? Muhaha.
kishoph Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Sabres haven't lost in regulation in 6 games. During those games, Tyler Myers has not been on the ice for an even strength goal against, I thought he had a rough time last night in the early going, but still I think that's a pretty impressive stat considering the ice time he logs.

Myers looked shaky last night, we need to start learning how to get the puck out of our zone better and quicker without turning it over. It seems like they have suck a difficult time getting the puck out.
todzilla Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Fun fact: Miller's 43 saves last night set a franchise record for saves made in a shutout. Thats a record for a regular season shutout...Dom saved all 70 in the epic vs. the Devils. Miller was great last night though. You wonder where this team would be if that punk Lucic hadn't run Miller and screwed his game up for such a long stretch.

Samson's Flow Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Another game way past my bedtime that I will have to stay up to watch. Good thing this Friday is looking like a slow work day cause there's no way i'm going to be anywhere near full productivity tomorrow.
JujuFish Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Fun fact: Miller's 43 saves last night set a franchise record for saves made in a shutout. Another fun fact: the Sabres played 3 games on Wednesday last month, and Miller was credited with a shutout in each one. The next Wednesday game on the schedule is March 7 against Carolina.
ROCBuffalo Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Who is Meyers? I forgot to turn on the sabrespace spell checker, I hate it when that happens. Sorry mom
waldo Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 I forgot to turn on the sabrespace spell checker, I hate it when that happens. Sorry mom Korab is the only person here that did not know who you were referring to (two mispelled words i think)
korab rules Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Korab is the only person here that did not know who you were referring to (two mispelled words i think) He's our franchise defenseman and just signed a 7 year 38.5 million dollar contract - we should probably learn how to spell his name. Thanks for interjecting. Meow. Edit: Crap, you aren't asian are you?
Eleven Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 No practice this morning, so no way to tell who is in net.
wjag Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 No practice this morning, so no way to tell who is in net. Ugh.. I need to know for my CBS league. Thomas isn't confirmed and neither is MIller/Enroth. CBS closes changes five minutes before first game of the day. That's in 45 minutes.. FWIW, Miller netted me an astonishing 13.1 points last night in CBS league. You can do better, but it's pretty damn hard. That might be the highest goalie total all season thanks to those 43 saves and shut out.

Oakstream Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Just played this on NHL12. 2-1 Buffalo, goals by Gerbe and a very late one by Weber. A good sign! :)

Went with my brother. We went down to the lower golds after the first OT. I get goosebumps. We all knew that if Dom saw it that night, he WOULD save it. Never had more confidence in a goalie. Then.....I can still picure Dave "the Cannon" Hannon with the game winner. Awesome!
