spndnchz Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Who's hot? Derek Roy with 9 points in seven games. Enroth? Sharks injuries: RW Marty Havlat (hamstring), D Douglas Murray (throat), C Dominic Moore (lower body) are out; C Logan Couture (lower body) is questionable.
thesportsbuff Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Who's hot? Derek Roy with 9 points in seven games. Enroth? Tough call. Miller is so hot right now, I'd hate to throw him off his hot streak. But we're definitely going to need him sharp and rested if we're going to beat Vancouver on Saturday. If we win both of those games, next week's game against Winnipeg could very well be a chance to move into 9th place.
Redemption City Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 I'd start Enroth, and hope Pominville and Vanek are more involved tonight. 63-19-21 looked good last night, best line imo.
RazielSabre Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Enroth, thats gotta have been a tough game last night for Miller so rest him.
CallawaySabres Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Win this tonight, split the last two and this team makes the playoffs (I really believe that)
kishoph Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Enroth, thats gotta have been a tough game last night for Miller so rest him. I agree, that may have been the most shots Miller has faced this year, he could use a rest. Enroth is becoming Lalime II. I feel a lot better about Ennis going back to the Wing after seeing the way he and Hodgson played together last night. Hopefully they'll both see more ice time tonight. Leino, Kaleta and Gerbe all had over 16:50 in ice time. Hodgson 16:04 and Ennis 14:20. Only Boyes, Ellis and Tropp had less ice time than Hodgson and Ennis.
Derrico Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Miller played fantastic last night but could it be partly because his wife was there? Just thinking aloud here but there was talk on WGR that he has a house near there and may have slept there instead of the team hotel last night. If this is the case, I'd be starting Enroth tonight.

Can you blame him for not sleeping at the team hotel last night? That'd be an awful lonely night without his boyf roommate Goose. :P
waldo Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 I'd start Enroth, and hope Pominville and Vanek are more involved tonight. 63-19-21 looked good last night, best line imo. then pray for a center
nfreeman Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 It would make sense to start Enroth. I think we'll see Miller. SJ has been slumping, especially on defense, although Niemi did get a shutout in their last game. Let's see if the fragile little children can bring it in the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
spndnchz Posted March 1, 2012 Author Report Posted March 1, 2012 Sabres haven't lost in regulation in 6 games.
LastPommerFan Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Looking at the 2 months the Sabres had basically full rosters (October and February) Miller has a 1.96 GAA and a .935 sv%. Healthy changes everything.

Healthy changes everything. Let's not be too generous. This team has consistently run away and hidden when faced with adversity. Pittsburgh didn't fall apart when Crosby got hurt. Now, if all you're saying is that Miller has been really good when he and his defense have been healthy, I can go along with that.
bunomatic Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 2nd of back to backs against a big team. Sharks might wear them down. IF Miller plays he'll have to be sharp. If Enroth plays for the first time in what, 25 games it seems, things could get ugly. GO SABRES !
Punch Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 The Sharks have had a lot of difficulty scoring throughout their slump. Havlat is still out and the players they added are not going to change that. The Sabres have a chance to win a low scoring game unless San Jose is able to pound them into submission.
Chirpin Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 If Enroth plays i hope he uses Millers play as a motivator to push his game to a higher level.
Derrico Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Can you blame him for not sleeping at the team hotel last night? That'd be an awful lonely night without his boyf roommate Goose. :P
korab rules Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 What's up with Moore getting hurt every time he gets traded?
Tyrannustyrannus Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Noureen was in Anaheim last night. I wonder if she's making the trip up to San Jose. Miller Seems to play good in front of his wife.
dEnnis the Menace Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Gonna be watching this one too. Last night's was definitely worth staying up for...hopefully they give another outing like that!
inkman Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Miller Seems to play good in front of his wife. I play well in front of my woman also.
qwksndmonster Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Leino centering the checking line worked out pretty well last night. Leino's a good forechecker, and also got a few offensive chances with Gerbe. I would like to see these lines kept together throughout the road trip, but we never really know what'll happen to mix them up again, whether it be Lindy or injury. I'll need a nap before this one.

Yes, That is exactly what i was trying to say.
TrueBlueGED Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Fun fact: Miller's 43 saves last night set a franchise record for saves made in a shutout.
CallawaySabres Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 I think this this game will be tougher than Vancouver. I would definitely play Enroth and just try and get a point out of it.....
