I like the trade. Hodgson gives us a more promising rookie at a greater position of need. I believe he was Rookie of the Month this year? Anyway he wasn't gonna get the ice time in Vancouver that he'll get in Buffalo. And it's probably a good deal for Vancouver, too.

GO SABRES!!!

...'cus you just can't have enough 180 lb. centers on the roster!

(Hodgson can score, so I give him that)

Yea the 33 points he has will put him right up there with Derek Roy.

I hate this trade, for a team that needs toughness, you get rid of one of the toughest prospects.

I love Kassian's toughness but all I'm reading from Canucks fans is how much they HATE this trade. They think BUF got the much better of this deal so that makes me feel a little better about it.

This is a move that works both now and next year for Buffalo. Kassian has been the guy we all thought would be the big banger but then we've been blasting him for not really doing it. I think that guy is Foligno in the future. The scoring bit remains to be seen.. but hell, for now I'll take it.

It's certainly creative and not something we would have expected from Regier.

Who says Hodgson has no back bone?

He has 8 PIM on the year and a whopping total of 25 hits per tsn.ca

I know those arent the end all be all of toughness stats, but he's no pat kaleta. That said he is/was VAN's top prospect.

Not sure what to think. I don't like giving up the one guy who is one of the tougher forwards on a team that is soft-as-an-egg-just-out-of-a-chickens-arse, but this is why I am not a GM...

Are you kidding me!! Trade away your tough young best prospect!!!! Building for the Future!!!! I'm raging right now!!

Don't worry, Lindy would have found a way to make him play soft.
