LGR4GM Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Ennis flipped that to his backhand on purpose and just wow! Kid. Is. Special. Its nice that 1 winger to center experiment has worked this year lol.
TrueBlueGED Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 The hockey Gods are letting us win to prevent us from getting a really good draft pick. As if we were going to go 0-25 the rest of the season. I'll gladly take a win against a top team on national (or semi-national) TV.
87168 Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Lindy: took Tyler two tries. That's not good enough, gonna bench him for Roy. Hey, Roy has two today.
Randall Flagg Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 If only we can play well on the road and at home at the same time now.
deluca67 Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Maybe Pegula can petition the league to have all Sabre games scheduled the day after their opponents play the Flyers and the Sabres have the day off. Hopefully any teams that may be interested in Roy were watching today. Entertaining 3 1/2 hours, now back to the sad reality that Regier and Ruff are still employed by this franchise.
Gramps Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 OMG if Stafford and Roy are still Sabres this time tomorrow Darcy needs to be pantsed. Amazing how well Roy, Stafford, Boyes & Gaustad play the closer we get to the trade deadline ...
Jsixspd Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Great game and effort by the Sabres. Tomorrow is another day, but today I'm proud of em! :)
waldo Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Hey, Roy has two today. s time to put Roy on the 4th line again... Lindys Way. If a line is clicking break it up.Maybe Roy gets sent down? or next game he gets 12 min like Vanek?
thesportsbuff Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Maybe Pegula can petition the league to have all Sabre games scheduled the day after their opponent play the Flyers and the Sabres have the day off. Lmao. You've said repeatedly that back-to-backs are not a worthy excuse for a poor effort by the Sabres -- but it's fair game when the Penguins play like ######?
Eleven Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Lmao. You've said repeatedly that back-to-backs are not a worthy excuse for a poor effort by the Sabres -- but it's fair game when the Penguins play like ######? Pathetic and pathological...
TheChimp Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Lmao. You've said repeatedly that back-to-backs are not a worthy excuse for a poor effort by the Sabres -- but it's fair game when the Penguins play like ######? So you're admitting that we won because the Pens sucked today? :P
5th line wingnutt Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 As if we were going to go 0-25 the rest of the season. I'll gladly take a win against a top team on national (or semi-national) TV. For the Sheldon Coopers among us that was humor/sarcasm.
TrueBlueGED Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 So you're admitting that we won because the Pens sucked today? :P Hey now that can't be the entire reason, the Sabres have lost to plenty of teams that sucked on a given night! ;)
thesportsbuff Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 So you're admitting that we won because the Pens sucked today? :P Well, yes, I suppose. But I'll also say that the Pens sucked today because the Sabres played very well and forced the issue lol
TrueBlueGED Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 For the Sheldon Coopers among us that was humor/sarcasm. Bazinga.
CallawaySabres Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Snowboarding all morning and then I'll have the game on. I hope another Toronto loss does not stall Darcy into getting into sell mode. It is not even where the Sabres are in the standings that is upsetting, it is the mental makeup of this team that reveals the red flags. I like the fact that it is on national TV even though the season is over. How about a 8-7 loss with stafford and roy combining for 2 hat tricks which leads to their exportation on Monday..... Well, snowboarding was great, Roy got 2 and Stafford got 1. Gotta admit, it was nice to see the effort and hopefully this does a little bit for the trade value of Roy and Staff. The thing that I can't stand about this team is they they HAVE the ability to play like this and CHOOSE not to. That is not the kind of team I want going forward. Same thing as last year, backs up against the wall and they turn it on to become hottest team in the league. The good thing about this game is that there ARE pieces in place and now it is time to figure out who to bring to help them.
LaLaLaFontaine Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 That was a nice and unexpected win. A very intersting and exciting game to watch. Pittsburgh was tired but nevertheless a win against a top team is a win against a top team. We earned this win, we were the better team the whole 60 minutes. I thought after Fleury came in and robbed us blind several times we would loose the game. Fortunately i wasnot right.
TheChimp Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Well, yes, I suppose. But I'll also say that the Pens sucked today because the Sabres played very well and forced the issue lol Ahhh. Only partly because the Pens had to take a late flight after a hard fought game and then get 5 hours of sleep before the next one? Come on, even you Deluca haters have to admit, this was NOT the real Penguins today. No doubt they kill the scheduler after this embarrassment.

That's all fine and true, but every team has to go through it. Teams can win on the second of back-to-backs.
Bmwolf21 Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Now off to see the Amerks @ 5 Wow. 3 games in 3 nights for the Amerks, including a home-and-home with Lake Erie? Damn.

Yeah maybe next time they'll just have the Penguins play the Sabres before they even get to shower after their Flyers contest.
spndnchz Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Myers and Ehrhoff looked great today. Seems the lines really clicked.
calti Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Wow. 3 games in 3 nights for the Amerks, including a home-and-home with Lake Erie? Damn. theres a team called lake erie?
