Serious question for the people who are going to watch this game: Why? What are you expecting to see that will entertain you or make you happy? Even if the Sabres do miraculously put together 60 minutes of good hockey, we all know it's an outlier.

The Sabres aren't good and watching them isn't fun.

I've been out of the area for a long time. Tonight is my first Sabres Home Game in years. I'm going to enjoy noticing all the "fan expirience" improvements Tpegs made, and, based on the record, I've got a 42% chance of seeing a win. A win against Montreal is good, no matter how bad the season is going.

I haven't tuned in for the last two debacles, but I will be watching tonight at least for a little while. I'm genuinely curious at how badly the apathy will showcase itself from both the players and fans that decide to go. Rubber necking the five car pile up. Rock bottom.

They'll win tonight 4-1. Fans will look at the Philly game as an aberation. Then get blown out Sunday by the Pens. This team needs a complete overhaul Coach, GM, Players.

I don't think I'm going to watch the game, and I may be done watching them for the season unless there is a major upheaval.

I can't believe the season is over in the middle of February. Good work, Darcy.

It's okay, they'll be healthy next year and then we'll do better.

If MAJOR changes are not made this offseason, this MUST include the firing of Darcy, I absolutely will not be watching next season. Just like the Bills, I decided after the Monday night meltdown vs NE that I would no longer buy Sunday ticket or get emotionally attached in any way until Ralph is gone.

I also happen to think that Lindy is now a major part of the problem, and no true turn around can co e until he too moves on, but at the very, very least, DR must be gone for me to have any Interest next season...

Gotta love the people like this -- the type that if they are having a bad day, they have to bring everyone else down with them. The Sabres probably aren't going to make playoffs, but as weave said, there's still plenty of reason to watch from a Sabres' fan standpoint. And furthermore, aside from just being Sabres fans, most of us are hockey fans as well... if there's a game on, even if it's just mildly interesting, I'm probably going to watch it over 90% anything else on TV on a Friday night.

It's like asking someone whose spent their whole life trying to become a doctor, "Why would you even bother becoming a doctor? All you get to do is work with blood and guts and disease, do incredibly hard work and face the sad reality of death on an almost daily basis. What part of that makes you happy? Even if you miraculously save somebody's life tonight, you know you're going to lose a lot more over the course of the year."

Maybe that's a stretch of a comparison, but how about we just not question what somebody loves to do...

If you're a casual enough fan that you can literally just tune out the Sabres and ignore their existence down the stretch, then good for you I guess. I, for one, can't fathom intentionally not watching a game just to prove some kind of point to myself. I love the Sabres. I love hockey. The Sabres are playing hockey tonight. I'm going to watch.

You say that now... but we'll see you next year. Darcy or no Darcy, Ruff or no Ruff.

You mean changes to the roster, right?

No point in changing the roster with the same incompetence in place that put this roster together in the first place.

I don't know why I listened to Regier today with Mike Schoop. He said the Sabres have "hit a valley." Is he serious? Missing the playoffs for the 6th time in 10 seasons? They live in that "valley."

i watch for the same reason race fans watch NASCAR, I am hoping for a horrific crash. I am hoping that something happens that completely embarrasses the Franchise and Terry Pegula that it infuriates him enough to make changes. A 14-0 loss, Roy and Stafford slap fighting on the bench or a Patrick Roy like storming off of the ice for Ryan Miller would all be great.

I want the last 25 games to make it as difficult as possible for Pegula to bring back Regier and Ruff. This team will not make the playoffs again until after Regier and Ruff are gone no matter how much money Pegula wants to throw away.

I'm watching just to see that moment when somebody shows they give a crap. It's sad ... but that's all I hope for now. Glimmers of heart.

Fancy?

Anyone having any luck with TWC? It's showing up as "channel not available" for me.

It's on Fios for me. $50 cheaper per month too.

Ugh. Suburbanite!

Even with the team not doing well, I can tell that the crowd is down-miked.

I'm a block away from Fios service (between Hertel and Kenmore) and would have switched months ago if it was an option. Curses!

I wish the Sabres players were as good at their job as Doug Allen is at his.

He might be the only valuable piece that other teams covet at the deadline. Make it happen Darcy! :bag:
