Who Else? Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 so bitter, he's one of the best players in the league. He's consistenly put up 70+ points. playing on the top line too. He would be 2nd in points on our team. Relax people theres nothing to this rumor. Sabres need a center. Kane is way betterand accumulated most of his points on the side as discussed above. If the team could start over from scratch, I'd be all for it. Unfortunately this team is stock full of small players and average to large ones that play small. We have seen what Rochester has to offer, and it isn't centers or impact players who play large. You can make only so many trades and we have yet to see one. There a few players here that can bring any decent return. Do'n't throw them away just because fans don't like them or they are payed too much. I wouldn't mind seeing Miller or anyone on this team traded, but you only get to trade them once.
Eleven Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 As long as Kane is the best player in the deal, which most think he is, he'd be a welcome addition. They need to address hitting, size and toughness, but as long as they aren't giving up what little of it they have to get him, I'm all for it. Fine by me, too, but wait for the "Kane is soft" posts in 2013 if this actually happens (which it will not).
JJFIVEOH Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 There's no question he is small and doesn't hit. But even though we need centers, we're also going to need wingers to fill Boyes and Stafford's spot (if he he's traded). They can persue size through another trade or free agency. To me this doesn't seem like a knee jerk trade, it helps to fill the spots soon to be open.
FolignosJock Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Fine by me, too, but wait for the "Kane is soft" posts in 2013 if this actually happens (which it will not). NASH IS SOFT
LGR4GM Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 "Don't spit in that cop's burger..." "and umm can I get a liter a cola?" "Liter a cola... do we have liter a cola?" There's no question he is small and doesn't hit. But even though we need centers, we're also going to need wingers to fill Boyes and Stafford's spot (if he he's traded). They can persue size through another trade or free agency. To me this doesn't seem like a knee jerk trade, it helps to fill the spots soon to be open. Zack Kassian and who the hell cares?
dEnnis the Menace Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 NASH IS SOFT Save that for Chz's OTPenis thread ;) And this obviously can't go in D4rk's new thread...
IKnowPhysics Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Andy Strickland's blog: http://www.truehockey.com/articles/Picture-Ryan-Miller-in-Chicago-01 Paraphrase: doable for Blackhawks, Miller would likely be ok with CHI, Sabres not likely on board and haven't approached Miller about a trade. NBCS rehashes it: http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2012/02/16/heres-your-latest-patrick-kane-for-ryan-miller-rumor/
kishoph Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 I would trade a goalie for an All Star top line forward any day, especially if your a team that has problems putting the puck in the net. I like Miller, I think he is a good goalie, but you need to score in this league. I can't imagine the Blackhawks making the trade straight up, give them MAG's also and throw in Stafford to cover traveling cost. This rumor has no legs (do any), the main reason is because it would require Darcy to make a move and I don't see that happening.
Drunkard Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 I'd do it, but only if we play Kane with Gerbe and Ennis. Might as well field an all smurf line.
Robviously Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Andy Strickland's blog: http://www.truehocke...r-in-Chicago-01 Paraphrase: doable for Blackhawks, Miller would likely be ok with CHI, Sabres not likely on board and haven't approached Miller about a trade. NBCS rehashes it: http://prohockeytalk...n-miller-rumor/ Brilliant, Darcy. Hang on to Miller because this team is totally built to win right now. :wallbash:
inkman Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 ...give them MAG's also... If there was a beverage in my mouth it would have been spewed all over my phone.
TheMadCap Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Brilliant, Darcy. Hang on to Miller because this team is totally built to win right now. :wallbash: Agreed, although I didn't really get the part a out the Sabres not being interested. All it said was that they haven't asked Miller about a trade. IMO, Miller would be a fool not to accept that trade. Assuming Darcy can be bothered to answer the phone or call ChI back...
wonderbread Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Im not sure if anyone mentioned this in any previous threads so I figured it would go well here. Pic's included. Patrick Kanes wild Cinco de Mayo. http://deadspin.com/...kend-in-madison Then the Blackhawks recommend that he seeks counseling http://deadspin.com/5914315/report-the-blackhawks-have-suggested-that-patrick-kane-seek-counseling
Sabre Dance Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Great - don't know if anyone saw this in the News a couple months back: http://www.buffalonews.com/city/communities/hamburg/article787147.ece So, what exactly does that mean....???
BuffaloSoldier2010 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 It means he's from Buffalo and wanted a place to live in the summer.
LGR4GM Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 It means he's from Buffalo and wanted a place to live in the summer. bingo.

... Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 It means he's from Buffalo and wanted a place to live in the summer. It means he way over-paid for some WNY property. What a tool...
Marvelo Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Kane sounds like the South Buffalo white trash answer to Derek Roy.
Claude_Verret Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Nonsense. Everyone knows by now that we need Miller as a package throw in for the number one pick.

See also: halloween, mifflin street block party, cinco de mayo, football saturdays, really any thursday, friday, saturday, and sunday, playboy's #1 party school. Unfortunately for him, he's not a typical 23 year old. Sooner or later he's going to have to realize that.
darksabre Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Patty should have played in the 70s when no one would have cared.
SwampD Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 Patty should have been born in the 70s when no one would have cared. Yep. And I'm not sure how much of that blog describing his weekend I believe. Actually I do, none of it. The story tells us of fights and groping girls, yet in every picture, he's just sittin' around and most of the girls are groping him.
