Haha I actually don't have a favorite basketball team, although I definitely have some I hate. I just really felt for Cleveland because that's definitely something that can happen to Buffalo sports.

Yes. As a fan of the game, it's infuriating.

Yep. I live in the Cleveland area and even though I am not a Cavs fan, him leaving was a slap in the face/stab in the back. When he was here you never got the sense that he was one of those dominant, "throw the team on my back and will them to a victory" players. Very infuriating.

Something needs to happen, I think stafford should be worth something, I mean he did score 30 goals last year. Just don't bring up tape from this year.

I think Stafford is the kind of player GMs take a chance on. His entire problem is effort, not talent. As long as someone out there (Hitchcock, Torts, Babcock) thinks they can hold his hand and make him a real player, I could see him bringing a decent return.

I highly doubt Stafford gets moved because of his giant contract/ I'd also like to see him stay just so we have some leverage in the Parise race this summer, I'll take any advantage we can get.

Obviously Roy's value went up yesterday but I still don't know how much we'd be able to get for him.

I think the guy with the most value right now (other than Myers, Vanek and others who won't get moved) is Gaustad. Big, tough, wins face offs. A team lacking in those categories would love his services.

You could say we are a team lacking in those categories.

Every team needs prospects, but at this point we have enough to fill in the voids. We have kassian, Chewy, Foligno, Mcnabb, Brennan, and more. So we need to get as many draft picks as we can and flip them over to teams in order to bring in players like Parise, Nash, and that first line center. Goose is worth a 2nd, Roy is worth a 2nd and a 3rd or 4th, Stafford can fetch a 2nd and boyes can get us a 4th or better. Just my thoughts, comment if you think different please

At the very least I think you're severely undervaluing Roy. I know Mike Fisher and Roy don't exactly bring the same things to the table, but I think they're pretty comparable in terms of market value, and Roy may even have more depending on particular team needs. Fisher got a 1st and 2nd (which I believe could become a 1st based on certain performance conditions). If I'm trading Roy I want a very good NHL ready top-6 prospect and a 2nd round pick. If you insist on draft picks, he needs to return at least a 1st and 2nd. Stafford I also think could fetch a 1st from the right team (see: contender, so around pick 22-30).

As much as I dislike Roy, I have to say that I agree with what you are saying here.

I 100% agree with you about roy. I didnt realize what fisher was picked up for. I would definitely want a 1st and 2nd for Roy. He is easily capable of 70-80 on the right team. Stafford should as well be able to get a 1st from the right team.

I would love to see a few trades today even if they aren't the Sabres, this way we can judge the market..

Why does stafford help us sign Parise?

If Dominic Moore is worth a 2nd, Roy has to be worth more.

Leopold should be worth something as well to a contender.

either way Darcy has 7 days to prove that he is not the worlds most incompetent, nostalgic, idiotic GM.

Ok - Friend at ESPN... and I believe him...

Knock, Knock - There's no centers there with interest.

Knock, Knock - It's Darcy Regier! (sorry no one want's to answer the door)

Knock, Knock - You wish! No one is knocking guys. Nothing anyone wants from us.

Scenarios? None. Because we need centers, offensive and there's none willing and as it's been told - none any better than what we have.

Take a step back? for what reason?

Inevitable Truth: (sorry)

Hope for a good draft position, trade for that - then wait 1-2 years for him to develop.

Someone is obtained after the season.

Quit hoping. Just = Bomb the season and sell everything for Alexander Galchenyuk!

Deal with it.

Come on mods, don't merge some craptastic thread in with our real thread. Just delete it.

Agreed.

and my reply stays the same...moving it does not sway my opinion of:

:wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

:death:

are there any substantiated rumors though as of late? <-- Serious question btw...

Oh like your posts have anything in them but your thoughts. (right hand for that)...

Can you explain this with full sentences? Seriously. I'd like to understand what you just posted.

Without detailing why your thread was stating the obvious, the format alone of the OP was enough for it to be shut down. Knock Knock jokes? At least you could have gone with Andrew "Dice" Clay nursery ryhmes. (prepare for major thread de-railment)

Little Roy blew...that's it.
