Samson's Flow Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012  I saw some A-hole at Wegman's at 10:40 last night buying a massive singing bear and a bunch of those foil heart balloons. How hollow is your relationship that a bunch of junk from Wegman's is the best thing you can come up with? Yikes. Hey it was for my mom and she's a sucker for singing bears. And it was 10:35 if you're getting technical... :P P.S. Happy 1,000 posts to me!
Iron Crotch Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 I forgot there was a game tonight! The real question is can I get away with watching hockey on Valentine's Day? (I see above that Derrico has the same dilemma)

How hollow is your relationship that a bunch of junk from Wegman's is the best thing you can come up with? Yikes. We (my wife and I) completely agree with you. It is just so funny, but sad at the same time. I must say that, for the first time that I can recall, I saw women in the line up too.
87168 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Shouldn't be too hard. Well at least not for me. My girlfriend has to do some research for her thesis and I'll be at the studio, but the game will be on. I probably wont get much done but hey, it's an attempt.

I got my girl a kindle, taking her to a great dinner on saturday and Sabres vs Caps tickets in March Sitting in Section 116 at the Verizon Center is gonna be pretty awesome. Shouldn't be too hard. nfreeman Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 oh brother... I just can't avoid the NBA hype machine. He is by far the least athletic/intimidating/impressive looking 20 and 10 guy I have ever seen play in the NBA. Based on my litmus test I just can't see how the rest of the league doesn't shut him down in a week or so. but i've been wrong before. great story regardless... Sometimes the marriage of player and coach/system produces surprising results. Steve Nash doesn't really stack up athletically or in terms of size with most of the NBA, but he's a dominant player. Lin isn't as good as Nash but has better size, plenty of skill and, it appears, a high basketball IQ.

The married folks have barely though about Valentine's Day... the unmarried guys (and girls) have elaborate plans. :D
Samson's Flow Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 The married folks have barely though about Valentine's Day... the unmarried guys (and girls) have elaborate plans. :D I lucked out this year. My g/f is still in south carolina, so all I had to do is send flowers and a teddy bear to her internship and I was the best guy ever. That means I get to watch the game tonight

Speaking of Tops, do the Castelanis having anything to do with that chain anymore?
Samson's Flow Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 EHRHOFF is out w/ illness. Is he love sick with valentine's day fever? :insert other tacky jokes here:
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 EHRHOFF is out w/ illness. Hitthepostitis?

How hollow is your relationship that a bunch of junk from Wegman's is the best thing you can come up with? Yikes. Some people don't need expensive overpriced junk just to show they care about each other on this Hallmark Holiday Hitthepostitis? Worth ever penny  I lucked out this year. My g/f is still in south carolina, so all I had to do is send flowers and a teddy bear to her internship and I was the best guy ever. That means I get to watch the game tonight  Mine is going to some workout class tonight after work, this was after she questioned me that I would have gone out to play pickup hockey if I could have gotten in to play tonight. I reminded her that the workout class thing is on the same night, and she said she wouldn't go then. I told her it was fine with me, we could do something on Monday instead, We already live together so really its no big deal. Now I get to spend the night watching the game. Ended up getting her tickets to see the leafs and Panthers in 2 weeks at the ACC (shes a big Leafs fan) and we are gonna go to the Hockey Hall of Fame in the afternoon before.
Samson's Flow Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Some people don't need expensive overpriced junk just to show they care about each other on this Hallmark Holiday What about the people that are just looking to get laid? They could probably use the help from the overpriced junk ;)
frissonic Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 What about the people that are just looking to get laid? They could probably use the help from the overpriced junk ;) is chippewa closed ...?
spndnchz Posted February 14, 2012 Author Report Posted February 14, 2012 EHRHOFF is out w/ illness. Yup. Grags in.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Will the wife allow me to watch this one on Valentine's Day? It's a huge game, I'm sure she'll understand.....I'll be there on Sunday, please win this one to make that game interesting. The more important question for me is ... If you keep calling her "the wife" (not just picking on you ... this the worst term IMHO and I hear it all the time ... same with "the girlfriend" ... women don't call their partners as such ... just ask her what she thinks about it ... well I really went off the rails in my own post there) will she allow you to sleep on the couch, or toss you right out for a night, or two?
... Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Tonight's Valentine's Day match-up features a long-standing, three-way sleepy relationship betwixt the Devils, the Sabres, and the fans at the game. Whose eyes will droop lowest first? Who will succumb to boredom "in the room"? Will the Sabres pick up their performance, with the lesson of being-physical-pleases-their-partners fresh in their brains? Will Robyn Regehr reveal his true feelings? On THE day of scoring, who will score the most? Can the Sabres poke it in enough to find elation? Or will they grip their sticks too tight? These, and many other questions are answered in the next episode of "Regular Season Sabres Hockey"...
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 What about the people that are just looking to get laid? They could probably use the help from the overpriced junk ;) There are much better ways to try to achieve that goal than with overpriced junk and with probably a better success rate too.

Agreed, although it's better than $WIFE, or even worse $CURRWIFE (you might need to be a computer geek to get those).
OverPowerYou Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 What do the lines look like today?
Eleven Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 What do the lines look like today? There's a red one in the middle and at each end. In between two reds, there's a blue one. (Not seeing any real info on twitter or on Sabres Edge blog.)
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Prediction: Steve Bernier outscores the Sabres and beats the daylights out of Gaustad. Big Bear a comin'
