I think this is true for a good percentage of the fans. I know for me, when I choose my mini-pack seats, the past several seasons I'll load up the late season games for two reasons: the drive is usually better, and the games tend to mean something.

I was concerned that the late games I have would be for nothing this season, but, knock on wood, so far they're making it interesting.

11th place, 8 points behind Toronto with a game in hand. 9 points behind #7 Ottawa with 3 games in hand. It's certainly no longer crazy to think they'll bring it down to the wire and can make it. At the very least I'm pretty confident your games will be entertaining.

I don't leave games early because you just never know.

Agreed. Hell, even with blowouts I get stubborn and won't leave because I want to get everything out of my money spent...even if that everything is in no way a good thing.

Okay... back on the bandwagon

I was always on the bangwagon it's just that the trip had so many bumps i was sick in the toilet for a long time. Now i'm back stronger than before or until Lindy goes back in the driver seat and turn it into a train wreck.

I'm still on and have never really been off the wagon but there were some times this season that the frustration was overwhelming. The team is playing much better and they seem to have their collective mojo back but I still strongly believe that this organization needs change to truly contend. It is obvious isn't it or am I the one who's delusional? That being said it is nice to have this little streak and Miller seems to be money again.

You know, Lindy was here for the first four games of this hot streak...

Lindy was also there for last year's hot streak...................after they were last place in the conference............. after everybody wanted him fired.

So, is it Enroth tomorrow night? They've been riding Miller for the entire streak but we're gonna need him down the stretch so he's gotta get a night off here and there.

GO SABRES!!!

I say go with Enroth. He carried us into the playoffs last year, no reason they can't rely on him.

You are definitely not delusional. They need some major re-tooling. Darcy needs to be sent packing. Some of the dead weight up front needs to go away. They can even sacrifice a Sekera, Weber, or Leopold to help bring in the right pieces. Someone on the D is gone, fer shure.

They need to figure out what it is that is sucking the life out of the team's chemistry and excise it. It's clearly a combination of players that on paper look good, but in reality are bad for each-other.

This team as it is is far from a Cup contender. As you can see, they are even far from a play-off contender.

I certainly hope they go with Enroth tomorrow. If we still had Lalime I'd say ride Miller until he can't stand anymore, but there's no reason Enroth can't be trusted to get a win. Miller's started 8 straight I believe, let Enroth get in there.

And I think we can all agree this team is exceptionally frustrating. Between last season and this season, just makes me want to scream sometimes. I also think most people agree the team needs some kind of retooling to be a legit Cup contender, the only question is the extent of that retooling.

That was one of the worst hockey games I ever have seen live. I cannot think of how the teams could have made it more boring. (Even a 0-0 game has its brilliant defensive plays.) I'm certainly happy with the outcome (I don't really care if Dallas gets a loser point, of course), but wow, failure to entertain on a massive scale. Both teams.

Bet you a buck that #30 goes again tomorrow.

Why is the drive better? Do you move into a crash pad near the arena?

Good man.

Am I the only one who thought that was a great hockey game?

I think you're right about Miller though.

That save Lehtonen made on Vanek reminds me of a save Mika Noronen made years back where he was sliding back in his net on his stomach and lifted his right leg in the air and made a pad save. I don't remember who it was against and wish I could find a video. Maybe against the Rangers. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

I thought it was a pretty good game myself. Might not have seemed so great after that Bruins game, but pretty tough to top that one. The Sabres have done a really good job lately in correcting their mistakes and adjusting to the other team. Not to mention they're not getting down on themselves when behind. This all seems eerily similar to last year, I hope we get the same outcome. I think Erhoff came back and played great after he got manhandled along the boards on that second Dallas goal.

That was a highlight film save! Lehtonen I mean. I vaguely remember the Mika save you're talking about. That save on Vanek would have been a different story, but he lifted his pad right as Vanek shot it. That's a really difficult move considering the position he was in.

i know the one you're talking about. Wish I could remember who they played. Pretty sure it was in the shootout, though, sometime in 05-06 while Miller was out with a broken thumb and Biron was the "starter."
