LastPommerFan Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 You cannot take a weekend off here. I have no idea where the conversations are and do not have the time to catch up. These are things that make me sad. For My input, we need to build a roster that can score like this: 1st Line: 90 goals 2nd Line: 60 goals 3rd Line: 40 goals 4th Line: 20 goals Defense: 50 goals That puts us at 260 which would land us nicely in the top 5 in the league, where the vast majority of post-lockout champions have come from. Can Vanek/Roy/Pommer score 90? There averages over the last 5 years add up to 84 (including bad years this year for DR/TV) Can Leino/Ennis/Stafford score 60? Can Gerbe/Adam/Kassian score 40? Can Kaleta/Goose/McCormick score 20? I think it's pretty safe to say this D-corps can score 50. This all begs the question as whether this Roster is a goal scoring disaster, or if it's just a perfect storm of a season. I still don't think I'm sold that blowing up the roster and starting a 3 year rebuilding plan is the right move. Sincerely, Kittens and Sunshine

Sterling Archer Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 The Sabres are like an old folks investment club, sitting on their 6 shares of ACME Inc. waiting for the market to settle.
TrueBlueGED Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 If the Sabres literally do nothing, the negativity bubble Ted Black talks about will quickly become a negativity nuclear explosion.

Rolston traded. Isles out. Sabres now last team to make a trade this season.
