LabattBlue Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 3) I don't believe I started the whole spelling issue... Actually, you did! :)
tdflyers Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 I'm normally not one to get fired up about spelling mistakes, but could one of the mods fix the spelling of Leino in the title of this thread. Thx. The 27th post into a topic and you were the first one to bring it up. I guess it's perspective.
LabattBlue Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 You missed the point. You started it by spelling his name wrong! I didn't think I'd have to explain it to you. Wouldn't it be easier for you to just fix the title of the thread?
spndnchz Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 I didn't change it. I'm not sure if Leino is stupid or if the rest of the team is, but there seems to be some disconnect.
tdflyers Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 HAHA thanks! My spell check doesn't work for some reason anymore. anyways. I expected at least the same production from him that he had in Philly if not more (I predicted in the 2011-2012 Season Predictions thread a lot more, but it's embarrassing so leave it be), especially if he was supposed to be on Stafford's line or with Gerbe, etc. I DEFINITELY expected more from him than what we've gotten so far. The team as a whole though has been disappointing so I can't just point the finger at him <_< And I was just bustin your balls on my third point. I'm not sure if he gives the Sabres the same production without the same type of line-mates or system. The thing to remember is though he is 28 years old, he's only played over 40 games in the NHL two years. Other than his breakout season with the Flyers he really wasn't even an NHL'er. I think next year he'll be a 40-50pt guy. You missed the point. You started it by spelling his name wrong! I didn't think I'd have to explain it to you. Wouldn't it be easier for you to just fix the title of the thread? Actually you missed the point. I guess it's perspective. Meaning: You can say that I made the mistake originally which spawned all of this. -OR- You can say that you were the one to point it out instead of replying to the topic. Nice face palm though :)
Tyrannustyrannus Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 how about we change the thread to "complaints about misspelling." That way I know not to open it...
tdflyers Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 how about we change the thread to "complaints about misspelling." That way I know not to open it... Sorry. My fault.

shrader Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Perhaps I'm an idiot, always a real possibility, but was chz being sarcastic or just snide? I wasn't directing the sarcasm comment at you... but I do still think you're an idiot. ;)
spndnchz Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Leino now hyphens his name? WTF does he think he is? :pirate:
tdflyers Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 I before E except after C Got it. Thanks. Where were you 60 posts ago???
dEnnis the Menace Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 I before E except after C and when sounding like a as in neighbor and weigh, and on weekends and holidays and all throughout May, and you'll always be wrong no matter what !"
nobody Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Got it. Thanks. Where were you 60 posts ago??? While we're picking on you - please change that default Connolly avatar.
darksabre Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012  Where is this thing going? I don't know what happened. Apparently spelling Leino wrong is enough to completely derail a thread.
tdflyers Posted February 6, 2012 Author Report Posted February 6, 2012 While we're picking on you - please change that default Connolly avatar. Better?
MattPie Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 I before E except after C I think that rule has been officially revoked, since there's at least 10 common words that don't follow.
Who Else? Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 I think that rule has been officially revoked, since there's at least 10 common words that don't follow. Damn
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 I before E except after C By the way ... This rule, while not entirely accurate, only applies to the English language. I guess not. Maybe being a bitch? Am I being sarcastic? Even if in jest and I really hope this was posted in jest, this IMO has crossed the line. I don't believe there is any place for this stuff on this board.
deluca67 Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 To me Lieno is like a lot of European forwards, smoother skater, nice stick kandling skills, sweet passers, skates big circles, have no clue what back checking is, non aggressive and rarely shows signs of life unless the puck is on their stick and there is an opportunity to score. These types of players need a compliment of quality true blue NHLers around them to be successful. Same old reason why they have rarely shined when they get to the NHL. OVI is a great example of a european skater with talent who is LAZY. Its not the Lindy system its the player. This is true about European forwards, unfortunately Lieno has yet to show much, if any, of these skills. I have yet to see anything from Lieno that the Sabres couldn't be getting from the average AHL player at a minimal salary.

deluca67 Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 Oh, no! Here we go again ... :nana: . Until he starts playing like he belongs in the NHL he doesn't deserve to have his name spelled correctly. I'll spell his name correctly when replying to the post where he is traded, waived or bought out.

Wait about 60 posts and you should be okay to get back up.
