kishoph Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Way to come back and answer that goal against. We haven't had turnover problems the last 3 games, Weber has to wake up.
DumbPuck Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Where was this team for the past three months?
kishoph Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Seeing some good shifts, the pucks have to start going in. :wallbash:
thesportsbuff Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Wow. People still watch these games? The real shocker is that, apparently, people who have no interest in the Sabres or watching their games anymore would bother taking the time to post in the Game Day Thread just to take a shot at those of us who watch every game regardless..
kishoph Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Turnover by Boyes in the offensive zone on the PP.
biodork Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Ugh, I came in at 1-1 with the Sabres buzzing around the net and now it's 3-1?!? :(
DumbPuck Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Both teams getting the quality opportunities ... ours aren't getting in ... theirs are.
... Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Here we go. It took three games to return to form. Pull Millsie, even though they were "not his fault".
kishoph Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Another turnover. Why call the high sticking on Roy ?
DumbPuck Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Here we go. It took three games to return to form. Pull Millsie, even though they were "not his fault". I actually agree with this .... this looks like it could still be a W for us... but I don't see Millsie recovering mentaly for the remainder of this game. Despite them not really being his fault. We'll see at the start of the second what Lindy does.
kishoph Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Went 3 games without these sloppy turnovers and they have 3 costly ones already. Lindy won't pull Miller.
DumbPuck Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 3 goals on 7 shots .... even if they're not his fault ... pretty bad statistic.
TrueBlueGED Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Statistically, our shots have to start going in eventually...it's almost impossible to continue shooting at such a low percentage. This is like a football game where one team racks up 500 yards of offense, but loses because their QB threw 3 picks. Ugh.
biodork Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Hopefully as the game wears on it will become apparent which team played last night and which has been off since Wed,
wjag Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Something about these fisherman that give the Sabres fits these days...
hockeyhound Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Over the Glove, Over the Shoulder, Over and Over. How long must we wait? :wallbash:

Ugh. 17 shots in the 1st period, this team is snakebitten when it comes to putting the puck in the net. I don't know if they have it in them to play from 2 goals down, if they continue to skate and work it's not hard. We'll see how they come out to start the 2nd.

It all comes down to the mental toughness GoDD was talking about. Most teams would feel pretty good about their chances of getting at least 2 more against the Isles...this team? Not so sure.
Marvelo Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 The chemistry is wrong. Not sure how else I can define it but the passes don't connect, and if they do it's to someone who doesn't score. we might nave some talent, but our guys just don't play well together. It's a bad mix...these players look foreign to each other.
JJFIVEOH Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Wow, I will seriously sign up for 4 goals scored right now. We haven't scored more than 3 goals 13 straight games and have only scored 6 one time (it took OT to do it). I like you're optimism but I've lost all faith in our scoring. We win games 1-0 and 2-1. The opposition scores 3 and you may as well stick a fork in us. You were saying?
Wyldnwoody44 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 So much for the kaleta fight firing up our team :/ at least it was a decent brawl to watch
kishoph Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Missed the fight, hopefully I'll catch it on video, MSG won't show it again, they stink with replays.
kishoph Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 They're not playing as physical as in the last 3 games.
