spndnchz Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Back at it. Going for two in a row. Who's Hot: Nathan Gerbe notched the shootout winner and an assist in Buffalo's victory over the Devils. … Cole has points in four of his last five, with 2 goals and 7 assists in that span.
OverPowerYou Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Buffalo has a great record when everyone's healthy. The one we are missing is Hecht. I expect back to back wins
ROC Sabres Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Well I really think this losing streak started around the time I changed my avatar so I think its back to the old one. Let's see if the time off gave them time to relax and get some energy back or if they learned how to be more lazy.
frissonic Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 This is specifically why i came in at 6--so I can work a 10.5 day and get home in time to catch the game. I dunno ... something tells me the break did something for the team as a whole. Nothing really in any news article to suggest it (or otherwise, for that matter), but ... I guess we'll see in about 12 hours. Hope they can pull off not just a win, but a *convincing* win--not an eke-out win.

Also, I believe with Goose and Ennis comming back Hecht is the only regular out with an injury (although he never started the season with us anyways). I guess you could count McNabb but otherwise we're the healthiest we've been in months. If we continue to lose, I really don't want to hear any injury excuses from Ted Black and Co.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Fail for Nail! Do we really need / want a fancy skating Russian?
thesportsbuff Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Do we really need / want a fancy skating Russian? You mean, do we want the runaway consensus best player in the draft? Yes, we do. But Let's Go Buffaloooo
sjb012 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 Update: Regier still looking to deal. He is currently checking his voicemail for messages from his well-deserved all star break. More to come.
Tyrannustyrannus Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 same team that started 4-0 tonight?
Who Else? Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 MAG or Weber? Do they both sit for McNabb in a few games?
spndnchz Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 MAG or Weber? Do they both sit for McNabb in a few games? Against Montreal, I go MAG. And this snippet... Miller needs one victory to equal Dominik Hasek's franchise record of 234 career wins.

spndnchz Posted January 31, 2012 Author Report Posted January 31, 2012 ice your best team... MAG is from the area big deal.... we need points .... My point is Montreal is a fast team, not a hitting one. LR usually dresses the faster guys for these games.

This is the same team that could barely score 1 goal for every game in January. You're telling me Ennis and Gaustad will suddenly make them world beaters? I hope you're all on to something but i'll remain pessimistic. BTW: The ASG scored 21 total goals, so i'm putting the over/under at Buffalo scoring that many at 10 games

But I want to see a win dammit if for nothing else than its the scabs we're playing and I want the boys to put it right back in all the media types faces for the snickering and for those of us ungrateful fans who demand better. GO SABRES !

GO SABRES ! Oh I hope so too buno. I'm just seeing the 4 europe games to start the season as an anomaly and this recent stretch as more indicitive of the level of play going forward.

Hopefully we ship out some parts and bring in some parts because this team has gotten complacent and just boring to watch.
nfreeman Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 I'd like to see Ennis start a healthy and productive last 2 months of the season tonight. The Sabres' offense needs a spark, and he has dynamic potential.

But if it takes a 99% healthy roster to win games, then your roster in insufficient depth wise.
deluca67 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 ice your best team... MAG is from the area big deal.... we need points .... Great idea, I doubt that Enroth will get the start though.

inkman Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 You mean, do we want the runaway consensus best player in the draft? Yes, we do. Maybe you do but I'll take the best North American Center, preferably from Wester Canada.
