One of his good friends found the second half of Tom Sawyer in his attic in a chest in a house off Delaware Ave downtown upon selling the place and moving out. He called my Dad in to see if it was real. I remember going with him to see it... didn't really realize the significance, just thought I was cheap labor to help in the move. Then later read articles on it... Yes Twain used to live down in those parts. Very, very, cool ... I’d love to hear more about Twain in Buffalo. PS ... Take The Buffalo River tour. What a great 90 minutes. I learned so much ... I THOUGHT I already knew so much. Buffalo is a very special place. Quote

North Buffalo Posted July 5, 2019 Report Posted July 5, 2019 (edited) https://buffaloah.com/h/twain/twain.html Found in steamer trunk in home of former Buffalonian in LA, interesting that is where it was reported. But I know it was discovered in Buffalo and I misremembered he lived in Twains house in Buffalo on Delaware (ST) Ave. Was moving to Cali where he must have reported it found. Love the inaccuracy though. Edited July 5, 2019 by North Buffalo 1 Quote
nfreeman Posted July 8, 2019 Report Posted July 8, 2019 I took the family to see the Rolling Stones last night in Foxborough. They are getting a bit long in the tooth but they sounded terrific and it was a great night. 1 Quote

SABRES 0311 Posted July 10, 2019 Report Posted July 10, 2019 Made the trip home driving from San Francisco to WNY listening to CCR. Realized a couple things. 1. How happy I am to be back in the states for good (I think). 2. Some people shouldn’t drive. 1 Quote

I am sorry to hear this, the good news (if you want to call it that) is that this is not typically a very aggressive CA, and can be kept in check much better than some of the others. Good luck, you'll rock, and F cancer 1 Quote

shrader Posted July 11, 2019 Report Posted July 11, 2019 I walk by the VA hospital out here occasionally. They always have some sort of truck/trailer parked on the side for the “Durham VA Department of Emergency Response”. They do in fact use the abbreviation D VADER @DarthEbriate 1 Quote
