I'll tell you what's awesome.  It's October and we finally have weather that is humane, for lack of a better word.  I haven't had my windows open in 5 months until now.  This summer sucked from a weather perspective, but it's finally over.

The Bills won big in Masstown, as did the Blue Jays. but I am not expecting much from the Jays this year.

I must be the strange one, I never liked Justice the way I liked the first three. Something about the production just didn't have the raw energy of the first three.

Genuinely good people are still out there, and they are awesome.

 

I had a ceiling fan installed by an electrician at my house back in early August. Nice young guy. At the time he'd asked who was helping me move, and I'd told him I didn't know yet and would probably end up hiring someone once I figured out which weekend in September. He'd offered that a number of his friends from youth group have trucks and he could probably get a group of people to help move me for free (!) if I'd like. So last Sat. he and 4 other guys and 2 girls (none of whom I'd met) showed up to my apartment with three trucks, and they had my apartment emptied and everything unloaded at the house inside 2.5 hours, and since we finished early, they invited me to join them for lunch after. Some of the nicest, most amazing people I've ever met, and it still blows me away that someone would do that for a stranger.

Triple awesome!! The newspaper story that never gets written.

 

Oops, just saw the follow (dust) up. Glad it worked out - careful's always good - seems you were!

Sunday 10/2 couldn't have gone any better sports-wise for me for the reasons you mentioned. And with respect to the Jays, you win against the O's on Tuesday and anything can happen in a long series. Plus the Jays starting pitching is much improved this year compared to last.

The pen was good all season, but somewhat faltered, as did the big bats, in September.

 

Who do you start on Tuesday night?  I'm tempted to put Liriano (sp?) a lefty out there.  Dickey (is he hurt?) with his confusion, as we won't have to worry about the cool weather.

Yes have to get a lead early because you are not scoring on Britton. After reading more I think I am leaning towards Liriano as well. He's pitched well since the trade, has playoff experience and the platoon matchups help his case.
