Claude_Verret Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 So I'm in Helsinki, Finland this week for work and as it turns out the company we are visiting is across the road from arena for the Espoo Blues of the Finnish Elite league. So naturally I had to check out any Sabres connections to this team.... It's the last professional stop in the career of Christian Ruuttu in 98/99. Goalie Tom Draper played here during the 01/02 season. Ted Sator coached here in 2003, and was replaced as coach mid season by former Sabres blue liner Hannu Virta. Quote

biodork Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Is anyone else watching Marvel's Agent Carter? I didn't really plan to, but ended up watching the first three episodes yesterday on Hulu Plus out of boredom and I actually kind of like it. The casting for Jarvis especially was great; I love his character. Quote

Not cottoning to the Bob Odenkirk character yet. Billy Bob Thornton is just creepy good though. Quote

Hoss Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 The Fall on Netflix is a good watch. The second season just got posted. It's very slow and silent. I look at it as a more serious and methodical Dexter except the victims are middle-aged business women and not killers. Not a serial show, though. Quote
Stoner Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Oh that looks good. Is it on Netflix? I don't know. I rent the discs. (prepares for old guy jokes) Oh yeah, the supermarket king's thug is named Semenko, and hockey is seemingly always playing on TVs in the background. Quote

bunomatic Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Watching Anthony Bourdain tonight and he featured Buffalo which was cool. Local musician named Nelson Star invited him. Local taverns, eateries, snowmobiling etc. Enjoyed it. Bourdain had some nice things to say about the locals that he met. Anyone catch this ? Quote
Hoss Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Also: the movie Enemy has made me think more than any other movie I've seen in a while. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 Nelson Starr and The Tales were awesome, back in the day. Starr is now a special assistant to the EC Exec, after having provided the man with piano lessons. Having typed it, that turned out more weird than awesome. Quote
