millbank Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Speaking of heavenly bodies, did you see any northern lights last night? truth , yes I did.. living in country because of the dark , it a good location to view them. Quote
darksabre Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 Unlike Lakeshore parents, I don't celebrate an unnessecary hit nor acting like you've been shot. Lakeshore is a dump. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 So the first part isn't awesome: The 1998 Mercury Tracer that my son drove through high school and college died- the head gasket blew, and I don't want to put the money in it to repair it. The solution is awesome though: Let him drive my Elantra, which means I now get to drive this: Just got back from the dealer. Gotta love that new car smell. Quote

Stoner Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Following up on Into the Wild, I happened to rent The Kings of Summer today. The two movies oddly go hand in hand. Flying the coop, going off the grid, leaving the rents, man vs. nature. A bit of a happier ending this time, which was nice. The father in this movie was hilarious. It's worth watching just for the Wonton Scene. And: Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 500s are cool. Love em in white. Eh. White wasn't my first choice, but virtually everything else about the car was what I wanted. It's fine, but I was kind of thinking of one of the bolder colors- blue or yellow or something. White's fine though. I test drove a Ford Fiesta first. It was great- smooth, well mannered, and.... well, boring. The Fiat on the other hand.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL0Gb24Lw_s Quote

She hates it  You didn't get the Abarth did you? I wasn't impressed with the seats in it. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 I have a Sport. I've heard several complaints about the seats in these cars, but so far I think they're fine. Maybe I have the right build for them or something. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 I really like the Abarth, although I don't really fit in it well and I'd never stop driving what I'm driving now. Didn't notice how good or bad the seats were, besides the fact they were sort of nice leather. Quote

darksabre Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 (edited) So my son, who just bought a Fiesta in October, came home from work tonight and observed: "It's obvious your car is European; it makes my Fiesta look HUGE." The Fiesta IS huge. It's only like 8" shorter than my Lesabre. Edited January 13, 2014 by d4rksabre Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 It is pretty big for an "econobox." Quote

ubkev Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 It is pretty big for an "econobox." I tried really hard to like the 100 mile to the gallon cars. I really did. In the end I needed my horse power back. So I guess its 19 mpg's forever lol. Quote

Assquatch Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 It would be fun to attach a Go Pro and fly it around the neighborhood. Every dog would hate me. Quote

SwampD Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 How's the lift capacity on that thing? Pretty sure a Go-Pro is out of the question. It might lift a cork. In fact, even with barely a whisper of a breeze, It's almost impossible to fly outside. It'd be awesome at an ice arena. though. Quote
nfreeman Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 I have lost and will continue to lose many hours of my life with this thing. I've gotten a couple of those "for my kids." Pretty amazing how something that cost $500 when we were kids is $25 now. Quote
josie Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 I've been doing some internet wandering looking for stuff to do on a Saturday night in Toronto after a day at the HHoF for d4rk's bday. Ice skating, drinking, and then this gem... Quote
darksabre Posted January 14, 2014 Report Posted January 14, 2014 My boss told a certain coworker today to "stop talking". It was glorious. I've been doing some internet wandering looking for stuff to do on a Saturday night in Toronto after a day at the HHoF for d4rk's bday. Ice skating, drinking, and then this gem... Can we go ice skating with Rob Ford? Quote
