Who Else? Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Is this going to be one of those crappy out of new york broadcasts? I remember after the last time vs NJ. Black was on the radio saying it was a failed effort. Can we live through another pre-game where they show Miller and Lucic and the constant question of what happened to the Sabres? It seemed OK when Vs did it with a national crew but I don't think I can listen to Danyko laugh about it.
SwampD Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Well, I'm going to the game tonight and it's at least partly out of a sense of obligation. IMHO this game has the highest likelihood of any game I can think of to be DR's and LR's last game with the Sabres. I'm not at all sure it will happen, but it does seem logical that if DR and LR are let go before the end of the season, it will be over the all-star break. That would give them time to nail down the new GM and give the new GM time to get up to speed before the trading deadline. I have no desire to spend money, leave work early and hike out to Newark to watch yet another dreary 3-1 loss in a half-empty arena, but I need to lay my eyes on Lindy in person and thank him for the memories. The ECF and the SCF with Dominik and a bunch of string and rubber bands Finally beating Ottawa in 2005 on Vanek's around-the-world move to beat Dominik in the shootout 7-6 Pominville with the OT SHG series-winner Game 3 of the ECF in 2006 at HSBC "Go out and run 'em" Drury tieing it against the Rangers with 6 seconds left Rivet tieing it up at the end against SJ the night of the plane crash Charging back into the playoffs last year with the best 2nd-half record in the league If tonight's the last night, I'll miss him. Leaving work at 5. We'll have a couple of Blues in the parking lot then take a couple to Mulberry pizza for a slice (they have no liquer license so it's BYOB). I, too, am going purely out of duty. My friend has seasons and couldn't go tonight. I didn't even have to pay for them and I almost didn't take them. Go Sabres?
... Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Are we already in the pre-post-season meaningless game cycle? I think we are, and I really wish that weren't so. Even if this team's record were slightly different, and the Sabres were still in the race for a spot, would it matter with this roster? We know they'd bow out at after one round. *sigh*

Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I think you should encase the brain in concrete so that it can't move around when the head shakes. That's easy, its basically just a transplant from the head of MAG. Thick as hell
... Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Feels sh*tty don't it? :( It does! I always hate it when the Sabres' season ends - it feels like late March already.
darksabre Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 It does! I always hate it when the Sabres' season ends - it feels like late March already. It's felt like late March since October. This winter has been as crappy as this team.
Lanny Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Ham Sandwich just said Ennis out for tonight, but was full go and working at center during practice today.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 It does! I always hate it when the Sabres' season ends - it feels like late March already. The depression hits when it's 65 and sunny out in Late April/ Early May and you wish you could go drink downtown at 5 til puckdrop.
korab rules Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Ham Sandwich just said Ennis out for tonight, but was full go and working at center during practice today. Didn't he say within the last week that the team was considering shutting Ennis down for the season?Make up your mind, Hamilton.
shrader Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 The depression hits when it's 65 and sunny out in Late April/ Early May and you wish you could go drink downtown at 5 til puckdrop. I just can't associate depression with any of that.
Doohicksie Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Well, you can't do it if there's no puck drop (i.e., no playoffs). That's the depressing part.
kishoph Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Regehr and the Hoff both back for the Sabres tonight. Big Joe sent back down to Rochester: http://blogs.buffalo...es-tonight.html Having the Hoff back on the power play and Regehr on the PK really helps. Doesn't this leave us with one extra Defensman still ? If so, I wonder who Lindy will sit ?
darksabre Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Doesn't this leave us with one extra Defensman still ? If so, I wonder who Lindy will sit ? Finley was sent back down.
kishoph Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Finley was sent back down. I seen that, but there's still, Myers Ehrhoff Regehr Leo Sekera Weber MAG's I think they're all healthy.
darksabre Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I seen that, but there's still, Myers Ehrhoff Regehr Leo Sekera Weber MAG's I think they're all healthy. Maybe 7 D tonight? I don't know, I haven't been heavy in the twitter today to know for sure.
kishoph Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Maybe 7 D tonight? I don't know, I haven't been heavy in the twitter today to know for sure. Thanks, I thought all 7 were healthy.
darksabre Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Thanks, I thought all 7 were healthy. According to Sylvester, 7 on the ice for warmups. No Hecht in warmups due to post concussion symptoms.
kishoph Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 According to Sylvester, 7 on the ice for warmups. No Hecht in warmups due to post concussion symptoms. MAG's at center between Pommers and Vanek ? :P
deluca67 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 It does! I always hate it when the Sabres' season ends - it feels like late March already. Another great avatar.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 No Hecht in warmups due to post concussion symptoms. Well....that's a shocker.
frissonic Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 oh that's right. the new jersey feed. yaaaaaaay ....... *sigh*
darksabre Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I really wish the Mighty Taco in Rochester was open. I could kill for a few three cheese nacho burritos right now.
DumbPuck Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Blue Cross Blue SHield commercial with random people dancing makes me want to hurt people.
