TheChimp Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 It's official, girls. With Carolina's win tonight, we are solidly in 15th place in the East. Party Time!!!!
darksabre Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I hope we didn't suffer any more injuries from hitting rock bottom so hard.
carpandean Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 It's official, girls. With Carolina's win tonight, we are solidly in 15th place in the East. Not to nitpick ... well, maybe a little ... but you can't really say "solidly" when Buffalo has three games-in-hand, already owns the wins tie-breaker (through 51GP), and is only two points behind. Not saying that they won't fail to get two points total in the next three games, or that even if they do, that would be any less sad. I simply think "solidly" is overstating it a bit, even given how badly they've been playing.
inkman Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 It's really hard to describe this feeling with words. Somewhere between incredulous, laughable and devastating. Makes you wonder what TPegs feels like right about now.
sjb012 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Is Darcy still looking for a trade partner? I'd like to thank a bunch of people, who I feel are responsible for getting us to this point: First and foremost our lord and savior, Drew Stafford, Mike Weber, Jordan Leopold, MA Grags, Andrej Sekera, Luke Adam, Brad Boyes, Cody McCormick, Patty Kaleta, Paul Gaustad, Nate Gerbe, Ty Ennis, Ty Myers, Ryan Miller, Jhonas Enroth (lately), our brutally quiet library we call the F'N Center, The F'n public address announcer, Doug Allen, The ice shovelers, our pilots who take the team on the road (and don't want to bring them back) and the two people we could have NEVER made it here without....Lindy Ruff and Darcy Regier!!!! I know, I know the music is playing....I told myself I wouldn't forget anyone, but I know I did..... they want me off the stage...just had so many important people to thank!
sabresnutinphoenix Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Just when it couldn't get any worse, a huge solar storm will hit the earth tomorrow...
korab rules Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Does anyone really care any more? At this point, the more we lose the better. Time to follow the Pitt, Washington, Chicago model - or even better, the Philly model from a couple years a go - who did they draft that year, JVR?
Captainkirk001 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Amazing....never expected this team to be one of the bottom dwellers. Thought we would be fighting Boston for the division, now we are fighting for a top draft pick....
Weave Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Amazing....never expected this team to be one of the bottom dwellers. Thought we would be fighting Boston for the division, now we are fighting for a top draft pick.... Make no mistake, we'll screw that up too.

I read one of their message boards a few weeks ago...the Philly fans on there despised JVR....

ROC Sabres Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Make no mistake, we'll screw that up too. I dunno. Who do you think they are, the bills?
wonderbread Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 If they continue on this course 1st will be ours with in a month!
... Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 See, now this is where a visit to the Whitehouse and a handshake from Obama are appropriate. In other news, I predict that if nothing happens organizationally over this coming weekend, then nothing will happen until summer. Of course, if nothing happens over the summer, then I predict nothing happening for an indefinite period of time.

OverPowerYou Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Apparently we are 2-7-1 in our last 10 games. It's been so long that I don't even remember winning a game.
JJFIVEOH Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I hope we didn't suffer any more injuries from hitting rock bottom so hard. Nope, the Sabres who were already ther cushioned the landing for the few who still give a damn.
PotentPowerPlay22 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 At this rate it looks like a top 3 pick in the draft. Anybody else wish the Sabres had taken (4) 1st round draft picks from Edmonton for Thomas Vanek?

Bullwinkle Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 If they continue on this course 1st will be ours with in a month! I certainly hope so! Yakupov is ours!!! YES! TP, don't change a thing until April!
inkman Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I certainly hope so! Yakupov is ours!!! YES! TP, don't change a thing until April! Why do you insist on the Euro!
Bullwinkle Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Why do you insist on the Euro! Haven't you been looking at the prospects? Right now it's a toss up between Yakupov and Grigorenko. Yakupov is scoring at almost 2 points a game in the OHL. But Grigorenko may be who the Sabres really want. He's 6'2" and is a center. Yakupov is a RW. Yakupov will probably go first, but Grigorenko is likely to follow. I believe the third best is a Canadian but he's a Dman. At any rate, Draft Day is the most exciting of the year and even if we pick in the top 5 it will be can't miss TV.
