Eleven Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 You're speakin my language. Having two fingers of Bulleit Rye Whiskey on the rocks while I work on getting this fancy shmancy computer set up. That is a very nice bottle. Quote
darksabre Posted January 31, 2012 Report Posted January 31, 2012 That is a very nice bottle. I was very excited when the local store started carrying the Rye because I had no idea they even made one. I've always liked their bourbon, but I have a special love of Rye whiskeys, so this tickled my fancy. Quote

You've never been in the liquor store, lookin at the mid to top shelf and see something you liked and felt that little sense of wonderment bubble up inside you? Like that first time you didn't buy Jack Daniels? Quote

biodork Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Grilled cheese and egg sandwich. Not fancy, but a favorite weeknight meal for when I don't feel like cooking (which is most nights). Quote
5THXIT Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Grilled a nice rib eye on the barbi, and washing it down with a couple of Molson Canadians. Not too bad for San Diego. Nice win for the gang tonight. :worthy: Quote
Eleven Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Chocolate-covered pretzels. Tofu jerky (surprisingly great). Ice water. Quote
Weave Posted February 1, 2012 Author Report Posted February 1, 2012 Tofu jerky Does not compute. 3 Quote

Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 How does tofu jerky even work? I don't have the energy to even joke about this. I just want to stick an icepick into somebody's spine. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Sticky Lips tonight. Awesome Chicken + Chorizo Grits. Yummm Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) My usual breakfast this morning ... see up thread a bit. Last night's supper ... Spinach spaghetti with a red lentel and roasted red pepper sauce. The red lentels (a great source of protein when not having meat ... we use them in every pasta dish) are cooked for about 15 minutes (or until tender) in 2 cups of water with olive oil ... nice and juicy. Seasoned with fresh oregano ... we bring in herbs from our garden every fall to hold us over. Reminds me of a story ... we have two cats ... Jake, who lives in our house with us and Chester ... the neighbours cat who pisses in our herb garden ... I digress. Chopped onions and yams and fresh cranberries. Pop it all in the oven at 375 for about 40 minutes to let it all mix together nicely and to make the yam and onion tender. With italian herb / seed bread. To drink ... Me = mango juice with sparkling Bosnian mineral water. My wife ... cranberry juice with the same water as above. Yum, yum ... EDIT: FYI ladies (and to a lesser degree gentlemen) cranberry juice is a wonderful natural defense against UTI. Edited February 1, 2012 by Sabres Fan In NS Quote
dEnnis the Menace Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 took the girlfriend to a nice Italian restaurant in Sayre last night (Mangialardo's). I got the Veal Parmigiana with spaghetti and a house salad...amazing! so glad I got left overs too! yay lunch today  Quote
Eleven Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 How does tofu jerky even work? It's a pretty healthy snack. The chocolate pretzels weren't, but I only had three of those. Quote
