Eleven Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Ha we've already passed the 06-07 mark for regulation losses... In January The WHAT mark? Really is it 06-07?
SwampD Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I may need to. My apologies. I thought it was a decent system that brought the team its first piece of hardware since 1999. But we would both agree that neither a Wales trophy nor a Presidents' Trophy (why do I ALWAYS have to google whether the singular or plural is correct?!) is not what we really want. I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. Either way, I want Ruff gone.
LGR4GM Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 The collapse is complete. Time to rebuild. All vets are tradable and need to go. Ladies n gentleman we've hit the bottom and excuses mean absolutely dick. Happy b'day Chz sorry it was better.
mrm33064 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 As funny as your ridiculous avatar. Hey ... bet you wouldn't say that to Val's face. At least Val James had some heart. Talent ... not so much ...
itbeatswalking Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Mr.Pegula, the honeymoon is over. It's been a year. You haven't done anything to change the production, in fact, it's worse than last year. A lot worse. You can keep your 500 billion dollars, but aside from that, you aren't wise. You kept Ruff and Regier. That says it all. I hope you're enjoying the road trip. CHEERS
WanderingEye Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I had zero hope of a miraculous comeback when Myers scored. You just knew it was done as soon as it hit 3-1, all they did was spoil the Blues 3rd period shutout streak. Will Ruff finally be finished if they make it a baker's dozen in Jersey before the break?
Eleven Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. Either way, I want Ruff gone. It isn't sarcasm. You know my thoughts on Ruff. I won't turn this thread into that. But as to the rest of it, no, not sarcastic. I thought you had been on the board back in 2007, is all. My mistake. And no, that's not sarcastic, either!

jad1 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Ruff. I'm fine if they decide to fire Ruff, but if you think these losers are going to wake up and play for another coach, you're kidding yourself, These guys may have quit on Ruff, but they've also quit on their owner, their teammates, the fans, and ultimately on themselves. They're mentally and physically weak. Firing Ruff might be the first step (or second, after Regier), but this roster needs to be completely turned over before the fans can even start thinking about the Stanley Cup.
Eleven Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 This sucks. My post? EDIT: How can I plus-100 jad1's post? No coach will fix this team. Cf. Hitch with Columbus.
Oakstream Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Well Tampa is beating Phoenix, so that means that we will be tied with Carolina for 15th in the Eastern Conference. Good thing Lindy doesn't feel any pressure, or that Darcy doesn't think this team needs a shake up trade. A while ago both Anaheim and Buffalo were in bad places. Anaheims GM said that almost everyone is tradable at that point. Darcy said no shake up is imminent. Guess which team is undefeated since then, and which team has hit rock bottom? -_-
SwampD Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 My post? No. Where we are as a franchise.
Eleven Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 No. Where we are as a franchise. Oh. Yes, this sucks. Completely. We disagree on the solution; that's all.
SwampD Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Oh. Yes, this sucks. Completely. We disagree on the solution; that's all. I just don't understand how, after 14 years (let me repeat that, 14 YEARS), Lindy Ruff is the solution.
Eleven Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I just don't understand how, after 14 years (let me repeat that, 14 YEARS), Lindy Ruff is the solution. Did I say I didn't want to get into it in this thread? I should have. Not being a dick, but come on, there are other threads for this, and I'd be more than happy to explain there.
... Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 There are people in the Sabres organization, players and/or otherwise, who know EXACTLY what the problem is with this team. There is NO WAY a team can dive this fast and hard without the reason(s) why being obvious.
jad1 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I just don't understand how, after 14 years (let me repeat that, 14 YEARS), Lindy Ruff is the solution. There's been a lot of history for this franchise over the last 14 years. This might be the end of the road for Ruff, but I'd hesitate to deconstuct his tenure here just to make the point that his time has come.

Not being a dick, but come on, there are other threads for this, and I'd be more than happy to explain there. This is where the rubber meets the road. Ruff gave Adam 3 shifts to prove himself. 3. Really? Fu##'m. I'm dome with Ruff. I'm sure he's a great guy and I'd want him to watch my kid in a pinch. I don't want him to coach the Sabres anymore.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 At least backes shoes us what a real power forward is supposed to look like. Maybe we can scout the other teams for the types of players we actually need while they're beating us down, because were not getting much else from these games

I'm sure he's a great guy and I'd want him to watch my kid in a pinch. I don't want him to coach the Sabres anymore. Ok. Whenever you want to discuss it in a Ruff thread, I'm ready. EDIT: Again, don't want to be a dick, but one of the mods asked on the first page of this thread that we keep it to the game, and I think that's a good idea. There really are enough other threads to debate the propriety of Lindy Ruff as HC.

A rookie who can't clear his zone doesn't get ice time under any coach in the NHL. The way people bitch about Adam, you'd think that he was Wayne Gretzky Jr.
SwampD Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Ok. Whenever you want to discuss it in a Ruff thread, I'm ready. Sorry, every thread involving a loss is a Ruff thread. He gave Adam three shifts with V and P. ...3... There is no excuse for that.
JJFIVEOH Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Until I hear about a trade or a firing, I just don't give a damn any more. I've got better things to do with my nights. Maybe the Panthers will make the playoffs.
Eleven Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Sorry, every thread involving a loss is a Ruff thread. He gave Adam three shifts with V and P. ...3... There is no excuse for that. Yet strangely, every thread involving a win, granted it's been a while, isn't. Let's keep the fire Lindy stuff to the fire Lindy threads.
