Figster Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 He pretty much has to be. hard to be worse
JJFIVEOH Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 What does that say about the Sabres when Pavelec only allows 1 goal and he's not even one of the top 3 stars?
Thedefeated Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Winnipeg moves 6 points ahead of us and stays in 10th place. A Montreal win tomorrow drops us to 12th. Three...deeper and deeper, two....deeper and deeper... Deeper and deeper way down.., when does the fat man roll over and have a heart attack so that this team can start gutting fish in their locker stalls.
JohnRobertEichel Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Dear Terry, When you have this many players suffering from the worst season of their careers, you have GOT to start questioning the head coach. Sincerely, -Billy F.
Koomkie Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 That's why Hecht should be on a checking line and Adam should be on a scoring line where his skills are better. i agree. has lindy even given him a chance on that line again? i can't remember the last time i had seen them together. hard to be worse  so true Dear Terry, When you have this many players suffering from the worst season of their careers, you have GOT to start questioning the head coach. Sincerely, -Billy F. thumbs up
carpandean Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 As long as he is gone, who cares. Asking "who is going to take him?" seems to imply that he won't be gone ... because no one will take him.
darksabre Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Deeper and deeper way down.., when does the fat man roll over and have a heart attack so that this team can start gutting fish in their locker stalls. It's not that they're lazy, it's that they just don't care.
LGR4GM Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 @chz: I've been wondering if the defense is as bad as it seems or is it due to a complete lack of offensive support? If our offense is coughing up pucks an lacking sustained pressure it inevitably puts more pressure on our defense. We are allowing a similar number of goals against as our 05-06 campaign and yet lose consistently. If our offense spent more than 10mins a game in the opposing zone and hustled to back check properly, our defense core would be much better than their stats appear. Our offense is causing a good chunk of our defensive woes IMHO. I'm very curious to hear your thoughts chz as I believe you have a good feel for what is going on.

I got the picture when rbochan posted it earlier in the thread, I just added the Sabres emblem.
biodork Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 It's not that they're lazy, it's that they just don't care. You know, I never really liked skating hard and hitting people... I'm just not gonna do it anymore.

biodork Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Wow. Another winner of a caller on the postgame show.
Koomkie Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 I got the picture when rbochan posted it earlier in the thread, I just added the Sabres emblem. its awesome. and sad. :(
Figster Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Whats happened recently in my opinion is Lindy gave a speech saying he's sorry for being so tough on everyone lately and lets just go out there and have some fun because we may not all be together very much longer, and I hope like hell he's right...
Marvelo Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 The bench is just completely devoid of life. Can SOMEBODY show some emotion? I don't even care if it's negative emotion, let me know you have a damn pulse. When the camera showed the bench at the end of the game, Ruff was robot-like and emotionless too.

Aside from Chz, I agree with this assessment of the situation. It's similar to football. You spend all your time chasing the other team's offense that you can't generate any of your own. Our D is getting killed because our offense can't convert when they have the chance, and cannot sustain enough pressure to let the D get in a groove.
OverPowerYou Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 I don't want to wait for next year to see the sabres in the playoffs. Please. 2008-2010 was bad enough
darksabre Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 You know, I never really liked skating hard and hitting people... I'm just not gonna do it anymore. Hell, Umberger f*cked her.
biodork Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Hell, Umberger f*cked her. Lol nice We need to see Vanek's O-face.

They use to be able to get it out quickly. Other teams see the ystem we're playing. IMHO the Sabres can't change it up quick enough. More so the offense isn't scoring.
wonderbread Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 When the camera showed the bench at the end of the game, Ruff was robot-like and emotionless too. I saw this too. The writings on the wall.
rickshaw Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Tyler Myers is a shell of his former self and I blame the coaching He obviously has lost his confidence ( who hasn't) but he's playing ok. He looks like he's afraid to do the wrong thing. I'm surprised his +- isn't worse. I too think the coaching isn't there. It really is time.
wonderbread Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Hell, Umberger f*cked her. I heard he was a snuggler!
