sabres1970 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Wasn't it last season when both the Bills and the Sabres were in last place in their respective leagues at the same time? Ugh, who knows, it's all the same anyway.
Koomkie Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 i didn't think this team could play any worse. i was wrong. color me disappointed stars: 1.) pommer 2.) eh....blackhawks bags: 1.) sabres 2.) weber. this guy has looked like crap all season. he is a horrible skater, horrible with the puck, horrible with positioning, and he doesn't hit anyone like he did last year. i know it is a hard position, but this year he has not looked like an nhl defenseman. sabres
wonderbread Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 I'm optimistic our chances of getting a better draft pick will improve. I like your outlook! Welcome to the hatefest.
87168 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 You're kidding right? Doc Emrick is a great announcer. If this game had any intensity and was close, then no problem. After the 6th goal, Chicago completely letup on the gas and Buffalo certainly wasn't going to generate any excitement. Frankly I was more interested in their yammering vs. the actual game action (boredom). Their jobs as announcers is to follow the play. Regardless of how out of reach it may be for one of the playing teams, the people tuning in are probably more interested in the play by play than something that is completely unrelated to tonight's game. You are obviously the acception to this logic

wonderbread Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Which wouldn't be so bad if he had a coach who could convince him to shoot the puck. He's a perfect compliment to the land of broken toys.
darksabre Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 I like your outlook! Welcome to the hatefest. It's like Oktoberfest, but with more grown men crying in their beers. He's a perfect compliment to the land of broken toys. :clapping:

mrm33064 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Maybe I'm just a bad sport, but at 6-2 late in the 3rd, on a franchise-record 10 game losing streak, I was kind of hoping someone ... anyone ... would go out there and try to make some kind of statement. Show some life for cryin' out loud. I was half expecting to see guys handing over tomorrow's lunch money on their way off the ice.
apuszczalowski Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Which wouldn't be so bad if he had a coach who could convince him to shoot the puck. Yeah, sure, his problem is that his coach isn't telling him to shoot the puck If he needs anyone to "convince" him that he should shoot the puck, I don't think he should even be playing in the AHL, he should be flipping burgers
Pville29 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Sabres will get their big center when they will pick 5th on the draft lottery

I hate everything including Eddie O's family. However I do enjoy hearing Pierre calling out people.
sabres1970 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Koziol's post game show rocks. Brutally honest. I'm just waiting for Lindy's comments or lack there of.

Like the guys on WGR who were talking before the game that the Sabres need someone not known for hitting or toughness to just go out and cross-check someone to show some spark/toughness?
wonderbread Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Koziol's post game show rocks. Quoted for fact!
Captainkirk001 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 I love it....they are tearing them up on the post game on wgr. Brian asking for the producer to play the highlight of the team responding to the hit on gaustad later in the game when it was out of reach. First there was the black hawks goal song, then there was crickets. I love Buffalo Sabres, but I loathe this team. They deserve all the national criticism they are getting,. This team is gutless, heartless, and i ll say it they are finished. If they turn it around, I'll eat my words...but if losses like these lead to changes, then keep em coming......

Well .... sort of, yes .... but not stick work. Preferably a shift consisting of almost nothing but clean, brutally tough body checks, but I wouldn't scoff if a few dropped the gloves either. Losing is bad enough, but this "oh well, we lost again" feeling out there - which it now appears every commentator now associates with the Sabres - is worse.
sabres1970 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Are you kidding me, Lindy? Really? You get one semi-critical comment from Harrington and you just leave? What a freaking joke! You talk about no accountability? It starts there. "You coach, Mike." I'm disgusted with this clown. I want him out. now.
wonderbread Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 I wonder if Harrington has any experience.

Unprofessional - but my God, a visible pulse is not the worst thing to see coming out of that dressing room. Personally, I think it's much more the players than it is Lindy, but it all stinks the same right now.
sabres1970 Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Yeah I just heard that....what a crybaby.... I mean seriously! These two minute BS press conferences are really starting to tic me off. You're team absolutely blows right now so man up, confront the media, admit your shortcomings and do your job as the the coach of this team.
bunomatic Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 At least Leino owned it in his post game.
darksabre Posted January 19, 2012 Report Posted January 19, 2012 Yeah, sure, his problem is that his coach isn't telling him to shoot the puck If he needs anyone to "convince" him that he should shoot the puck, I don't think he should even be playing in the AHL, he should be flipping burgers It's definitely a coaching issue. He wants the make a play. He's a competitor and he's trying to get his team goals. This happens with a lot of players, not just Leino. A good coach would keep on him to not wait for perfect chances, just shoot the puck.
