I thought you were joking but judging from another reply to your comment, apparently you were not......wow. I did not hear Lindy say that, but if he did - WOW, that is utterly disturning

this crew has now gone about 2 solid minutes of nonstop play w/out a single mention of this game action, other than for Eddie to say something has to be done w/ this team ....

Yeah, Versus/NBC coverage of games is ridiculous for stuff like this (especially the "top crew" we had tonight of Emrick/Olczyk/McGuire). Even if the game was competitive they would have still been yammering about completely unrelated tangents and then be rudely interrupted if somebody scores.

Ladie and gentleman, your 2011-2012 buffalo sabres. Be sure to renew your season ticket packages.

Look at the positives, they'll be able to clean up that waiting list.

So last night 5 goals allowed. Tonight they allowed 6. Tomorrow 7?

Well, technically they got lucky that the Ref blew the whistle and disallowed that one highlight real goal where he threw the puck off his stick and over for a goal cause it should have been 7 goals tonight

You're kidding right? Doc Emrick is a great announcer. If this game had any intensity and was close, then no problem. After the 6th goal, Chicago completely letup on the gas and Buffalo certainly wasn't going to generate any excitement. Frankly I was more interested in their yammering vs. the actual game action (boredom).

I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel better in being a Bills fan right now than the Sabres fan. This is just humiliating.

hahah that's how you know we've hit rock bottom haha

I'm not negative. I'm honest. This team is a mess and needs a complete douching.

whatever man. "If it helps you sleep at night"

We play Winnipeg tomorrow...they play well at home....What do we think will happen? I am not too optimistic...

Well, if the Jets put in about a 50% effort I'd say we're screwed.

I didn't say Emrick was a bad announcer, just that they spend a lot of time talking about things other than what's happening in the game. Which I think is a consequence of it being a national TV broadcast. Like if you were listening to Jeanerret and Neale on the local broadcast, even with the game out of hand they don't just start chatting about Pittsburgh vs. Washington and stuff. They would keep calling the game because that's what they're there to do.

I'm optimistic our chances of getting a better draft pick will improve.

What's worse, this stretch of futility or the Bills 7 game losing streak this year?

Wasn't it last season when both the Bills and the Sabres were in last place in their respective leagues at the same time?

So, what's your point? Do you actually think the Sabres are good?

No my point is that I find it hard to believe that the city of Buffalo is at the bottom of list of player's destination. My response was "I disagree". It had nothing to do with the sabres as a team or how good they are presently. However you seemed to feel obligated to take one's optimistic filled balloon and pop it. Why? Does it make you feel good?
