This, I'm sure, will be another long night all the way around. Chicago is not shy in running-up scores, so expect the worse. As I

already said in another thread. it's gonna be a long year...

Well, it's January 18th and club sports stats has the Sabres odds of making the playoffs at 4%. Pretty ugly season, and the phrase continues 'when will this hockey club turn things around?'

Like i said in my last post either buffalo wins a tight game 2-1 or they get raped 6-1

My guess is they get raped. There is no part of this team doing well at the moment to offer any hope. Goaltending sucks, offense can't score, and the defense is just unbelievably bad.

No Versus/NBC Sports for me. I'm not looking for a stream tonight either. Listening to WGR until I find something decent on the tube.

I'll be rooting for them to win (as always) but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't glad that Pegulajet was in attendance for the Motor City Massacre™ and hope that if the game does get out of hand, he'll have the bird's-eye view from the United Center. Not happy that we're getting outhustled, outskilled, and outclassed, but hoping that it can affect change.

If Tampa Bay can beat Boston, whose to say the Sabres can't pull of a win? But ... Tampa Bay beat us, too ... But Vanek gets his 20th.

Tampa was at home though. Good win regardless

It'll be interesting for one reason only. The scout watch. How many in attendance and from what teams. Probably witness more ugly hockey from the boys but I'll suffer through just so I can remember what this shite feels like when we are a good team again. GO SABRES !

I'm pretty sure it was somewhere close to that last year too.

I really like the Blackhawks and am looking forward to this game (despite the NBC announcers and that the Sabres may stink up the joint). Well, the Hawks were in rough shape a few years back, but a change of owners and front office sure turned them around. There's always hope....

It is safe to say that things may even get uglier, if that's possible. Success in hockey, just as in all sports, is a big part talent, but even more so, the key factors are confidence and momentum. The Sabres have vitually none of either, and until that somehow

changes, this tailspin will continue. Sure is going to be a long year, unless somehow, someway something, or someone changes

the teams general moral at this time. Not sure who that may be though...
