spndnchz Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Versus game. or NBCsport channel thingy Chicago's won 3 of the past four. Sabres, well, not so much.
DumbPuck Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Much less exciting than playing Detroit.
Sabre fan Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 This, I'm sure, will be another long night all the way around. Chicago is not shy in running-up scores, so expect the worse. As I already said in another thread. it's gonna be a long year...
rbochan Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I'm pretty sure this is going to suck.
Derrico Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Well, it's January 18th and club sports stats has the Sabres odds of making the playoffs at 4%. Pretty ugly season, and the phrase continues 'when will this hockey club turn things around?'
RazielSabre Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I bet we win this one I said that against detroit :(
FolignosJock Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I said that against detroit :( Lets hope I have better luck
Claude_Verret Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I bet we win this one They will probably win a few games like this as teams begin to look at the Sabres on their schedule and think of it as a "night off".
thesportsbuff Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 i feel like a sheep for even planning on watching the game tonight, but since its probably the only sabres game i'll get to see in HD until... the next NBCVersus game, I'll have to tune in
Pville29 Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Like i said in my last post either buffalo wins a tight game 2-1 or they get raped 6-1
Realist Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Like i said in my last post either buffalo wins a tight game 2-1 or they get raped 6-1 My guess is they get raped. There is no part of this team doing well at the moment to offer any hope. Goaltending sucks, offense can't score, and the defense is just unbelievably bad.
SportsFan88 Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Is it wrong if I decide not to watch tonight aslthough its the first game on the tube since December 31st?
Rox11 Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 If Tampa Bay can beat Boston, whose to say the Sabres can't pull of a win? But ... Tampa Bay beat us, too ... But Vanek gets his 20th.
Weave Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 No Versus/NBC Sports for me. I'm not looking for a stream tonight either. Listening to WGR until I find something decent on the tube.
obstructedorangeseats Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I'll be rooting for them to win (as always) but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't glad that Pegulajet was in attendance for the Motor City Massacre™ and hope that if the game does get out of hand, he'll have the bird's-eye view from the United Center. Not happy that we're getting outhustled, outskilled, and outclassed, but hoping that it can affect change.
SportsFan88 Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 If Tampa Bay can beat Boston, whose to say the Sabres can't pull of a win? But ... Tampa Bay beat us, too ... But Vanek gets his 20th. Tampa was at home though. Good win regardless
bunomatic Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 It'll be interesting for one reason only. The scout watch. How many in attendance and from what teams. Probably witness more ugly hockey from the boys but I'll suffer through just so I can remember what this shite feels like when we are a good team again. GO SABRES !
OverPowerYou Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Well, it's January 18th and club sports stats has the Sabres odds of making the playoffs at 4%. Pretty ugly season, and the phrase continues 'when will this hockey club turn things around?' I'm pretty sure it was somewhere close to that last year too.
Sabre Dance Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I really like the Blackhawks and am looking forward to this game (despite the NBC announcers and that the Sabres may stink up the joint). Well, the Hawks were in rough shape a few years back, but a change of owners and front office sure turned them around. There's always hope....
Sabre fan Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 It is safe to say that things may even get uglier, if that's possible. Success in hockey, just as in all sports, is a big part talent, but even more so, the key factors are confidence and momentum. The Sabres have vitually none of either, and until that somehow changes, this tailspin will continue. Sure is going to be a long year, unless somehow, someway something, or someone changes the teams general moral at this time. Not sure who that may be though...
RazielSabre Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Lets hope I have better luck Indeed, agreed.
TrueBlueGED Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Following Twitter during the game is going to be way more entertaining than the game itself.
Miller30 Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 I'm torn between the 2012 premiere of American Idol or the game on NBC Sports.. Such a hard decision..
darksabre Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 Well since it's a NBCSC or VS or whatever game I'll watch it. Are we getting Emery or Crawford?
