Buffalo Fan Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Just wondering if our ever improving draft position could be seen as not such a bad thing...not saying anyone planned on losing, but if the draft is strong at the top, maybe this year can be seen as a wash.
ubkev Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Deep in terms of talent. D-men much more pro ready than the forwards, but the Sabres are going to have a lottery pick anyways so getting who we need shouldn't be a problem.
Drunkard Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Any decent natural centers available in the lottery portion or will we be looking at the latest and greatest 5'9" 170 lb winger or another non-physical offensive defenseman come draft time?
ubkev Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 The best center in the draft hasn't played a shift all season due to a torn ACL. We're projected to draft him 8th. Alex Galchenyuk 6'2" 185 lbs. I'm sure we'll be able to draft him before 8th as well...
