Buffalo Fan Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 IR him and call this season a do-over? Trade him (if possible)? Bench?
Miller30 Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Trade him - he's going to demand one.
Brawndo Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Trade him in offseason and open up cap space
Buffalo Fan Posted January 17, 2012 Author Report Posted January 17, 2012 Wow, didn't see the game, but this writeup on hockey buzz sounds like it was a mess.... http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/GARTH/Miller-Twists-In-Wind/6/41391
darksabre Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I feel like when I'm at the bar and I don't really need another drink but someone wants to buy another round anyway. What's the worst that could happen?

spndnchz Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 This would indicate that there is no control in the locker room. Um. What?
bunomatic Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Wow, didn't see the game, but this writeup on hockey buzz sounds like it was a mess.... http://www.hockeybuz...In-Wind/6/41391 Can't say that I blame him. There's holes all over this team and I'm not talking injuries. Darcy Regier has to accept some responsibility for the state of this franchise. I wouldn't be surprised if Miller wants out.
Captainkirk001 Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I think the entire league has figured out to shoot high on the glove side of Miller...he's gotten burned there alot....
Hawerchuk Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I think the entire league has figured out to shoot high on the glove side of Miller...he's gotten burned there alot.... Hi glove side is right on the money. Face it he sux! Trade this baby now. Get a goddamn centerman for crying out loud!
Buffalo Fan Posted January 17, 2012 Author Report Posted January 17, 2012 How about Miller to Tampa? Any real connection between Yzerman (Detroit) and Miller (from Michigan)?
Oakstream Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 We've got one goalie who's in the top ten in save% (Not Miller). If they want a chance for playoffs, they need to bench Miller and play Enroth. He's waaaaay better this season. It's not even close.
Figster Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Trade him - he's going to demand one. This
LTS Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I think the entire league has figured out to shoot high on the glove side of Miller...he's gotten burned there alot.... I said this to people 2 years ago... when he was Captain America.. and people laughed. Hi glove side is right on the money. Face it he sux! Trade this baby now. Get a goddamn centerman for crying out loud! There's no proof of what I said above except for the people I spoke it to. They say Miller is a butterfly goaltender and that the upper part of the net is open on that style.. funny .. Roy was a butterfly goaltender and I don't recall the upper part of the net being so exposed... did they raise the crossbar on Miller? Not a fan, never have been.
Knightrider Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I say bench him... Granted, I am looking at it by Boston's point of view, but Thomas was awful in 09-10, only to come back the next year and win a cup. Trade him after they win a cup.
darksabre Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I say bench him... Granted, I am looking at it by Boston's point of view, but Thomas was awful in 09-10, only to come back the next year and win a cup. Trade him after they win a cup. I think there's some merit to this. Granted Thomas was hurting, had surgery, found yoga and all sorts of other things, but he battled and came back. Miller needs to battle too, and maybe giving Enroth some real experience doesn't hurt. Let Miller play the veteran role for a bit and gain some perspective. It could be good for him.
SportsFan88 Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 In all seriousness what the hell is he even worth in a trade? I mean what has he done to stand out? So he won a Vezina....Jim Carey did as well. Award is overrated and shouldn't hold much water into a guys career unless your like a Martin Brodeur who can back it up with things like Cups.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Blow this team up at the end of the season Terry, including the coach and probably the GM.
JJFIVEOH Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 I'm still in total disbelief. I didn't think this would be a Cup team this year. I thought making a couple of changes during the offseason might bring us a second round appearance. Maybe see where they stand and make more during this coming offseason, perhaps a trade or two before the deadline. But I never ever saw this coming. Never did I think this team would hit rock bottom. I almost always look forward to watching Sabres games, I usually plan my nights around them. This is just depressing to think that only halfway through the season this team will not even be a playoff contender. It's really going to suck trying to get pumped to watch a game the rest of the season knowing it won't make a bit of damn difference where this team places in the standings because it won't be a top 8.
mellaman101 Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 One of the worst hockey games in the history of Sabres hockey was played tonight. It gets no better as we take on Chicago on Wed. I just dont think Millers head is in the game here or wants to play here. Wifey is in LA workin on her career, so trade him out there and get the picks and a couple of players.... I just dont see anything helping this team now. Not everything was Millers fault tonight but hell, he was 50% of it!
neverenough Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Dude everyone on this team is heartless, not just miller so blow this thing up and try again. Terry Pegula will you please say one more time for the folks that didnt hear ya ( Lindy Ruff isnt goin anywhere )
SportsFan88 Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Too bad LA already has goaltending....now if you want to trade him to Anahiem and come up with a package deal for a Getzlaf/Perry/Ryan then i'm for something. Anahiem is close enough to LA.
HopefulFuture Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 This thread pops up at a funny time. Here's a tweet on the Sabres following tonights game, I don't know if these guys get anything right though: Creasy @The_Creasy Good news #Sabres fans? Im told BUF GM has just received a concrete "FINAL OFFER" from a west team. Will he accept?
RazielSabre Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Hi glove side is right on the money. Face it he sux! Trade this baby now. Get a goddamn centerman for crying out loud! You are kidding, out of all the highlights of that game you think Miller made the most mistakes? Not the 0 on our scoreboard, or the AWEFUL defense? Miller should be better, but so should our ENTIRE TEAM. Blaming Miller is just doing what Buffalo has done for 20 odd years, relied on the goalie for everything.
RazielSabre Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Well at least we've stopped blaming Connolly for everything...
