Places to watch the game tonight: Pearl Street Coles Checkers Mr Goodbar Carabba's Italian Grill Faherty's what exactly does that mean, that they will show up and play for him tonight?? Or they feel they can handle 'that' non-pressure??? UGH!!
spndnchz Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 what exactly does that mean, that they will show up and play for him tonight?? darksabre Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 What exactly would you expect yourself to feel like if your boss came in and said YOU GUYS SUCK! NOW GO DO SOMETHING OR YOUR ALL FIRED! Actually, I find that to be a great motivator. Nothing makes me crazier than being told I can't do something.
FolignosJock Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Actually, I find that to be a great motivator. Nothing makes me crazier than being told I can't do something. Hahaha do you want Pegula to be Al Davis?? Pegula said exactly what he should have. Whether it creates a reaction on the ice will be interesting to see.
Doohicksie Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I'll say a close one, 4-3, only Buffalo has the 3  Optimism, the fatal flaw of the Buffalo sports fan. I say it will be 2-1 TO going into the third, and a 5-1 final.
itbeatswalking Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I made the switch to Directv for the Sabres and today is the first real snowfall on the dish. If the signal doesn't go out on it's own, I hope I'm not forced to climb up there and cover it myself by the 2nd period. Let's go Buffalo!

Or do they?

If you start having a problem with the smow sticking, spray some PAM on it next time it is dry. It makes a huge difference at my house.
ROCBuffalo Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Going to shooter tonight in Fairport if anyone lives in Rochester that has TW and can't watch it. We usually get Audio there as well and its fairly good drink specials for the game.

I don't inherently have a problem with what Pegula said, I just have a problem with the idea that telling someone they suck doesn't work as a motivational tool.
Miller30 Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 My question is why don't they make heated dishes? Or do they? I had dish network before coming back to TW - there are 3rd party dish warmers available I had two dishes and warmers on both http://www.montanasatellite.com/satellite_dish_heaters.htm
Derrico Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I'm tired of being ridiculed in my office for the Leafs owning us the past two meetings. It always seems that the Sabres beat the Leafs on a Friday or Sat night because my bragging on Monday is never the same as going in the very next morning in rubbing salt in the wound. Based on that crazy logic I'm thinking we pull it out tonight. As poor as we've played this year I've generally noticed that when we have a terrible game, we generally come out pretty good in the next so let's keep that trend going. I cannot stomach another game like Tuesday.

Telling someone they suck works as a motivational tool, but it is an incredibly weak motivator. Most people respond much better to increased responsibility and a feeling of being supported. Some people do respond favorably to being told they suck though, so you might just be one of those people who respond differently to different types of feedback. In that case: Your post on this board suck.

That's the coach's job, not the owner's. There's only one solution, burn the place down. Strongly in favor of.
Claude_Verret Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Faherty's If I was in town I'd watch here. It's been almost 15 years but I spent a lot of quality time there when I worked at Children's Hosptial. Coles would be my second choice for the beer snob in me. Pearl Street I'd imagine will be over run with Leaf fans pre and post game.

apuszczalowski Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 At least you're not dealing with someone who is a fan of all Boston sports fans like I am. that would be a deal breaker, can't stand anything about Boston Sports (but would go to see a baseball game in Fenway just because of the venue)She doesn't care for football, but we both are Jays fans in baseball so it works out. The best part is that her entire family is Leafs or Habs fans, so theres always little fights going on there Oh man, that's rough. It's bad enough over here, I can't imagine what you're going through..... Last year for Valentines day I took her to the Sabres Leafs game in Buffalo, it was a very quiet ride home for me..............

Back when I had Dish Network I always had signal trouble with the dish. I ended up putting a plastic garbage bag over it and it helped a lot. Thank God for FIOS.
thesportsbuff Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 well i've basically lost all hope in the sabres w/ Pegula's comments this morning but the team needs a win more than any other team in the nhl right now. PLAY LIKE YOU NEED A WIN MORE THAN ANY OTHER TEAM IN THE NHL!!!!! that is all

I ended up putting a plastic garbage bag over it and it helped a lot. Thank God for FIOS. No FIOS available here yet or that probably would've been my choice. This talk of heated Dish's and garbage bags has me a little concerned. I've held up my end as a fan. Hope the Sabres make it worth the trouble tonight!
