spndnchz Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Who's Hot: Gustavsson has been practically unbeatable for Toronto, going 4-0-0 in January with a 1.51 GAA and .950 save percentage. As they have most of the season, Lupul and Phil Kessel are pacing the Leafs offense with seven and four points respectively in the last four games. … Jason Pominville has been one of the few Sabres finding the scoresheet lately, notching four points in his last four games.
Oakstream Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 This one could get ugly.. But, I will watch and cheer as always. Let's go Buffalo!
Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Friday the 13th ... Let's hope it's the Sabres' lucky day. Actually, what I am hoping for is a strong effort for 60 minutes and a huge win.
wonderbread Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I'll watch. I'm a sucker. Hopefully they find some offense.
SwampD Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I'm actually excited for tonight's game. Win or lose, we'll have an answer. I thought the Sabres looked absolutely horrible on Tuesday,.. horrible. I thought that they looked so bad that it had to be the bottom. So tonight, they'll either come out and show some some pride and play a great game, or they'll continue to flounder in their own crapulence. Hope,.. or Crapulence. We'll know in a few hours.
spndnchz Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 Sabres have earned points in their last 6 home games. They are 3-0-3 They are also 7-1-2 all-time in the home portion of their home-and-home series vs. TOR. Their only loss came on 12/20/70 (4-2).

Does it bug anyone else that these are called a home-and-home series? There's three days in between. I miss the good old fashioned home-and-homes that were on back to back nights. And with the Sabres schedule, that's exactly how it should be with Toronto.
bunomatic Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I'll subject myself to the torment as always and hope for the best. GO SABRES !
obstructedorangeseats Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Looking forward to seeing if Gerbe-Lupul continues!

dEnnis the Menace Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Looking forward to seeing if Gerbe-Lupul continues! You see the section about it in the BNews? I hope it continues! I won't be watching the game tonight, more than likely. I hope they win though! Maybe it will justify me not watching (or being able to watch) the games.
obstructedorangeseats Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 You see the section about it in the BNews? I hope it continues! Absolutely! Enjoying the chippiness, makes me feel like the Sabres (read: Gerbe) still have a heartbeat. :P
HopefulFuture Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I fear the same results as the previous month. Another loss. But, I at least have some hope that some players have finally had enough of these catastrophic performances and will show up to do some damage. I'll say a close one, 4-3, only Buffalo has the 3
darksabre Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Yuri Khmylev jersey gettin worn tonight for luck
Iron Crotch Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I'm watching... gotta justify buying the CenterIce package. I think the Sabres will win tonight. We just need to draw some power plays to take advantage of the Leaves dreadful PK. (did we have any power plays last game?)
Claude_Verret Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Ouside of the Carolina game which I attended, the last two times that I tried watching this team they literally put me to sleep by the second period. I'll give it another go tonight I guess.
samothyev Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I'll second that. 3rd! Oh the good ole days...

I miss the good old fashioned home-and-homes that were on back to back nights. And with the Sabres schedule, that's exactly how it should be with Toronto. I thought you were going to go with the fact that it should actually be called a "home-and away" series. After a bad first game, I actually welcome the break in between.

So tonight, they'll either come out and show some some pride and play a great game, or they'll continue to flounder in their own crapulence. Hope,.. or Crapulence. We'll know in a few hours. Agreed. I will watch as well tonight to see if they finally start to play like they really care. FWIW I watched parts(switched back and forth) of 3 well played games last night on CI; Ott-NYR, Bos-Mont, Det-Phx. Please Bflo play like that tonight so I will actually watch. Go Sabres
qwksndmonster Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I got a Vanek practice jersey for my birthday on November 24th. So far, the Sabres are 0-6 (didn't keep track of loser points) when I wear the jersey during a game. I'm going to wear it tonight on Friday the 13th to try and double negate the luck. Watching the game with my father tonight, whom I haven't seen in a few weeks. Should be a fun time.
RazielSabre Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Go Sabres. PLEASE. Begging and the game hasn't started.... Poor form. :P I reckon the stars will align and we'll hit gold tonight. I'm not betting but I always believe in them.
spndnchz Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 Roy in. Ellis out. Miller starts. The locker room likes TPegs comments. Places to watch the game tonight: Pearl Street Coles Checkers Mr Goodbar Carabba's Italian Grill Faherty's
