Koomkie Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 More generally, remind him that, while this may be the first full season under TPegs, it's the 14th under Darcy and Lindy. So, when fans see the bad aspects of this team as characteristic of previous teams under those two, asking for patience sounds less reasonable than it would have had they cleaned house when they came in. Agreed. nice work here.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 I think my timers' buzzer went off about halfway through that. Don't worry.....Ted has plenty of patience.....
wonderbread Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Ask him if there is still a modicum of accountablity with this franchise.
spndnchz Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 FWIW, everyone can watch the Sabres practice online tomorrow at Sabres.com. Its @ 11:45.
North Buffalo Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 ?If player movement is being considered, what is the timetable to address the obvious need for a talented center. If this could happen via trade, which players does Black consider untouchable if any? Since Darcy and Ruff's comments have been non-specific in this regard and Black's answers may be evasive to previous questions, I was trying to design a question of what he would rule out happening in the short-term. Q timetable question for evaluating GM and Coach?
tazman911 Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Rumors are flying around Elmira, NY over the possbile purchase of the First Arena by the Sabres and also the purchase of our hockey team the Elmira Jackals. Is there any truth to this rumor what so ever? What are you gonna do to turn the Sabres around?
SportsFan88 Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Anybody gotta link for this puppy?
RazielSabre Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 What action is being taken in light of our recent pathetic outings? Especially considering it appears the money Pegula spent was a waste up to this point.
JWell Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 in one word.... sum up the season so far.
IKnowPhysics Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Perhaps ask how he expects Brent Rossi to strengthen the Sabres brand throughout the hockey world. Are there specific initiatives planned?
darksabre Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Summit is over. Twitter looks like some tough questions got asked. I'm sure we'll start seeing recaps once everyone gets home.
HopefulFuture Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 in one word.... sum up the season so far. Unexpected? Disappointing? Depressing? Challenging? Revealing? Disgusting? Disturbing? Angering? Testing? Uninspiring? Boring? Sickening? Putrid? ..............Patients! Ya, that's it..................Patients!
fan2456 Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 You've spent big money on three free agent acquisitions, with little if any return on the ice.. Is that outlay for players who have contributed minimally, effected team chemistry? Put another way: Do players resent guys being paid big money who have not done anything for this team?
nfreeman Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Chz -- if you have time, I (and I'm sure others) would love to hear a report. Muchas gracias.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 According to Twitter sources......Ted compared the team to Humpty Dumpty....... I'm not sure if Ted read how that little diddy ended......
R_Dudley Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Please Chz when you have the time could you give us one of your well written summaries of how the blog session went ?
dEnnis the Menace Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Unexpected? Disappointing? Depressing? Challenging? Revealing? Disgusting? Disturbing? Angering? Testing? Uninspiring? Boring? Sickening? Putrid? ..............Patients! Ya, that's it..................Patients! I believe the word you are looking for is patience. Although, patients works with all the injuries we have. Hockey Heaven? more like Hockey memorial hospital. The other way to describe the season: Charles Dickens had it right, Great Expectations...wait, don't tell Roy,
HopefulFuture Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 I believe the word you are looking for is patience. Although, patients works with all the injuries we have. Hockey Heaven? more like Hockey memorial hospital. The other way to describe the season: Charles Dickens had it right, Great Expectations...wait, don't tell Roy, Glad you caught the spin on the word :P And yes, you are dead on correct, Dickens classic novel Great Expectations fits beautifully. Haven't read that novel since 7th grade (early 80's  ).
shrader Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 According to Twitter sources......Ted compared the team to Humpty Dumpty....... I'm not sure if Ted read how that little diddy ended...... Or maybe he did...
spndnchz Posted January 12, 2012 Author Report Posted January 12, 2012 Pretty much sums it up http://www.sabrespace.com/2012/01/12/sabres-2nd-blogger-summit/ Not mentioned in his article: Andreychuk and Brad may will be at the tailgate tent party in the coming months. Black/Canal side, he has ideas but he's not sharing yet. He refuted the Lindy contract being reported. They are looking into getting wi-fi hotspots inside the Center. Something like Minnesota has where fans can watch replays or even order food from their seats. Players have made an anti-bullying video that should be out soon. The Salvation Army and their issues with LGBT were brought up. Black said he was going to talk to them and would stop their access to the Center if they continue.

That must be the 2/11 game since he's in the Tampa Bay front office. Kind of strange that they can get someone working with another team to show up for a Sabres function.
... Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Holy disappointing. Give them bread and circuses.
