eball Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Can't ask for any more help than that. Wow, ain't that the truth. I was shocked to see the Canes had won in regulation. Have to take advantage tonight.
waldo Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Clear you calender for April 7th. The last day of the season. Washington @ NY Rangers Tampa @ Winnipeg Buffalo @ Boston I am taking the 8th off. I expect an intense day of hockey and beer. I am taking the 8th off. I expect an intense day of hockey, laughter, beer, and tears..
sabre snipe Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 winnipeg loses 8-4 :) Ottawa loses again and suddenly with a win tomorrow night we are only 4 back on them with the same amount of games played. Way better chance of catching them now over Florida
eball Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Amazing how much help the Sabres are getting. Alone in 9th now, and *almost* control their own destiny.
korab rules Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Otters ahead by 4 points, but they only have 32 ROW wins. We are at 28 and could catch them. What's the 2nd tie break?
tiredsounds Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 To have a realistic chance of getting past the first round of the playoffs they've got to try and catch the sens.
Punch Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 To have a realistic chance of getting past the first round of the playoffs they've got to try and catch the sens. This. Here's to passing the Sens and Florida passing Boston.
spndnchz Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 If the Rangers slump we could get first place.
OverPowerYou Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 If the Rangers slump we could get first place. False. The Rangers have already clinched a playoff spot, therefore the highest we can get is 2nd place.
spndnchz Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 False. The Rangers have already clinched a playoff sport, therefore the highest we can get is 2nd place. You took me seriously? Ha Hah Hah Hah Hah Hah ha ha ha ha ha ha.
OverPowerYou Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 You took me seriously? Ha Hah Hah Hah Hah Hah ha ha ha ha ha ha. And you thought i took you serious...... hahahahahahahahaha no
spndnchz Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 And you thought i took you serious...... hahahahahahahahaha no And you thought I was seriously replying. Ha ha ha ha ha ha :-)
korab rules Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Rangers won and Florida lost tonight. Back to hoping the rangers hold off Pittsburgh.
TheChimp Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Screw the Senators, let's catch the Bruins.
Neo Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Wouldn't it be great to become the team the announcers start referring to as "the team you don't want to catch in the first round" only weeks after we were asking "how does the lottery work, again"?
Claude_Verret Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Updated playoff chances Ottawa. 93% Washington 72.9% Buffalo 24.1%
MattPie Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Updated playoff chances Ottawa. 93% Washington 72.9% Buffalo 24.1% We totally need a chart showing progression of that number over the year. Oh wait, someone did: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern/Northeast/Buffalo.html
thewookie1 Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 We still technically can pass Boston and move into 2nd/3rd place in the east. Boston would need to stay under 93 points. Buffalo would have to go 5-0-3. ;) Ottawa would also have to stay below 93 points ;) As for passing Ottawa, Buffalo is 4 pts back with the same # of games left. Washington is 4 back as well with a game in hand. Theoretically, Ottawa could be booted from the playoffs if Buffalo and Washington win quite a few games and Ottawa slumps.
rickshaw Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Can't say it wouldn't be awesome if Buffalo knocked Ottawa out.
Huckleberry Posted March 22, 2012 Report Posted March 22, 2012 Wouldn't it be great to become the team the announcers start referring to as "the team you don't want to catch in the first round" only weeks after we were asking "how does the lottery work, again"? A surging sabres team come playoff time, don't think anyone would be looking forward to playing against us,
