Man, Enroth has faced a lot of shots in his last two starts. 46 against Ottawa and 41 against Winnipeg.

and still doesn't get the win he deserves. This team's problem isn't the goaltending as some would like to believe...

Koziol said during the second intermission there was a report of Darcy working a deal and Roy's name was being brought up.

Good, but I want someone in return and not just some draft pick. Trust me, I want Roy out of here but let's put his trade value (or lack there of) to use for THIS season.

What is there to review? The Ref lost sight of the puck and blew the whistle. I was shocked that Rick and Harry didn't know the rule. It's not the sound of the whistle, it's when the ref deems the play dead.

They knew the rule - the point was that the call was wrong. He intended to blow the whistle but clearly it wasn't the right call and it cost us a goal. The ref had no business blowing the whistle from 40 feet away.

Understood, what I don't understand with three guys on the ice, why that one on the far side in the corner is making that call. What B.S. He should have deferred.

It's his call. The league can't have officials looking around at each other while players wack away at the goalie. It was the right call.

I'm pretty sure they know the rule. I think their take on the situation was the fact that the puck was clearly rolling into the back of the net before the whistle was blown....how can you lose sight of a puck that is MOVING into the back of the net. It's the ref's job to follow the puck and situate his body as best he can to keep an eye on the rubber. If he can't do that properly than it will have drastic impacts on games, such as tonight's.

It is so ridiculously obvious that this team needs a shakeup. Honestly, I'd trade 4 or 5 guys off this roster for a top-line scorer. Send Roy, Miller, a defensemen, some prospects, some picks... doesn't matter. We need some new blood in here. I'd trade anyone but Vanek, Myers, Regehr. Everyone else is very replaceable.

Pominville in not replaceable also do you want to trade a guy who doesn't take stupid penalties like vanek or myers often does a guy who plays good on both ends and without him this year vanek wouldn't be this decent this year

Don't jump all over me here but hear me out. Pegula is all talk. Sure he bought a new dressing room, got a great zamboni, updated the arena, etc, but that is all appearance which isn't what matters. He says he wants a cup, yet he doesn't fire the 2 bums ruff and regier. It's getting old watching these games, I mean I changed cable providers to see these games, I see a worst team than last year, I almost am fed up with pegula, JUST ALL TALK

Then he was out of position, because he should have been behind the net and skating toward it not away and certainly not in the far corner either way a ref making the call was not where he should have been.

6-16 since the Lucic game.

And 10-5 before it. That was the season. When you embarrass yourselves and the game of hockey like they did that night, perhaps there is just no coming back. We tell them to go look in the mirror but when you don't like and don't respect what you see, this is what happens. The heart of this team was ripped out that evening in Boston.

GO SABRES!!!

The puck was on the goalies leg, out of his view, that's when he ended the play. Anything that happened after that is moot.

Quite a run-on sentence. :P

At a cap hit of $5.3 million I view Pommer as replaceable (with all due respect to your screen name and avarar!).

There isn't a ref in the league that doesn't call that play dead. At least there shouldn't be.

No, the character of this team was exposed. It appears there never was heart.

I think we both understand, but the puck shouldn't have been out of his view if he wasn't out of position. And if he is, he shouldn't make the call. Bad reffing.
