SwampD
LOL, true, even the low scoring Devils didn't want him...LOL At first I thought it was Kane that scored and I could accept that. He's a player. When I heard Oduya's name, any hope I had for this season just got flushed down the toilet with all those gin and tonics I had tonight. sabres1970
Is it just me or did anyone else notice that Lindy seemed like he could give a crap when the refs blew off that goal? I can understand a mild mannered temper, but come on. Show some energy, at least act like you care. If that happened against the Rangers Tortorella would be screaming his head off. He's what I want in a coach, Ruff is not.
North Buffalo
There isn't a ref in the league that doesn't call that play dead. At least there shouldn't be. The good one's skate in quickly and try and get a view at least from the back of the net when guys are looking around for the puck including the goalie. That was a blown call because the ref was out of position. Only 7 point out of 28 place.

That was a blown call because the ref was out of position. I agree with that. I've seen refs rush in and hang on the back of the net to keep the puck in view. That ref was lazy. He must be green cuz I don't think I've ever seen him before.
neverenough
Don't jump all over me here but hear me out. Pegula is all talk. Sure he bought a new dressing room, got a great zamboni, updated the arena, etc, but that is all appearance which isn't what matters. He says he wants a cup, yet he doesn't fire the 2 bums ruff and regier. It's getting old watching these games, I mean I changed cable providers to see these games, I see a worst team than last year, I almost am fed up with pegula, JUST ALL TALK Don't jump all over me here but hear me out. North Buffalo
Darcy or Linde have anything to say after the game??? If Ruff is smart, he says tough loss and back to work and end the presser quickly. But I have no idea what Marcy would say and not get hammered by the local press. I was right about being tremendously worried after his Ruff comment last year, the "he ain't going anywhere one". I really appreciate his love of the game but it seems to me that he is just too personally attached to the guys around him. Regier and Ruff are his buddies so they're safe. And because of that we, as the fans, suffer.

SwampD
It wasn't a scramble around the net. I just watched it five times. Not only was it a quick whistle, but he never even tried to move toward the net to try and find it. I think he only blew the whislte because everyone kinda stopped and he assumed it was covered. That's lazy. Again, who cares? It shouldn't have mattered.
North Buffalo
It wasn't a scramble around the net. Oooh you are stubborn, and or dense, no one said scramble. I said everyone was looking around for the puck except the ref who was back in the corner and barely skated toward the net only after he waved his arms no goal, which was after he blew his whistle while he was in the corner out of position. 87168
Terry needs to stop being the topic of discussion. Saying he is all talk is a little overboard, especially since none of us know what is really being discussed in the board rooms. Mr. Pegula hasn't even been owner for an entire season yet. But, here come the fickle fans ready to throw him and his mission statement out of town. Last time I checked he never said this team would be Stanley Cup champions this season. Correct me if I'm wrong. I understand people's frustration but let's calm down when it comes to Mr. Pegula. I'm sure he isn't exactly bragging about his team's performance. Ghost of Dwight Drane
THANK YOU. There is one thing to be said though......in the past 2 months Pegula has spoken in public about Penn St. Hockey, Football, Investigations, Arenas, etc. a half dozen times.....yet the only statement he has made about the Sabres involved his teenage daughter being able to netmind better than Miller. There is a legit beef to be made.

Enroth and Paul Hamilton each said it was absolutely the right call. I guess they are "stubborn, and or dense" as well. If it happened to Enroth and the goal counted you would be going bat-###### over the call because the Ref didn't blow the whistle. Randall Flagg
And now we are not only 5 points out, but the team we get to catch up to in eigth place is those terrible penguins ( ; Good luck to the sabres, they'll need it.

He is also not making any changes when it has been apparent for some time changes need to be made. Pegula deserves every bit of criticism because he is responsible for the product on the ice. He could have made the changes with the GM and coach in the off-season giving a this team a fresh start with new management and a ton of money to spend. He was too starry-eyed and the fans are paying for it now.

He just stepped in an owner and probably would like to see how the members of the organization actually perform their duties before making decisions that are going to be life impacting such as termination. Give it a rest. He doesn't need to be Billy Fuccillo, but it seems that he is a lot more interested and vocal about Penn St. than the Sabres right now. I'm not ramming the guy, but it times of crisis, it helps when the Commander in Chief comes out to inspire confidence amongst his people. By not coming public, and from what we hear from Black, it is assumed he doesn't think we are anywhere near a crisis, or he is avoiding it. He was too starry-eyed and the fans are paying for it now. Yes, ultimately he is responsible. But I'm not going to kill him or start attacking him 5 months into his first full season as owner. My guess is that he's learning real quick that owning a pro franchise is a helluva lot more difficult than just writing some checks and sitting in the owner's suite. I was OK with bringing back Lindy. Darcy - not so much. But I can see why he did - I think he was interested in seeing what the status quo could do with no obstacles financially. Now he sees (hopefully) that DR and LR are past their expiration dates here.
