darksabre Posted January 3, 2012 Author Report Posted January 3, 2012 At least the fans would be slightly more classy than the Philly/NY fans this year, so I guess you're right. On that note, I'm not saying that I wouldn't go to the game. And I'm not saying I wouldn't pee on a bunch of cars with Ontario plates...
dEnnis the Menace Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 And I'm not saying I wouldn't pee on a bunch of cars with Ontario plates...  indeed.
spndnchz Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 And then there were Philly fans... http://youtu.be/7I2xIcca3f8
Eleven Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 And then there were Philly fans... Saw the same stuff at Wrigley against Detroit. We had the first and best Ice Bowl ever*, and it will always be the best one ever. Let's enjoy that, and let the league take it around. *Yeah, I know about that thing up in Edmonton. Still, when they wanted to make it regular, they started HERE. (The edit was to avoid repeating the vid.)
Andrew Amerk Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 It seemed to me like there was a force out there trying to will the Flyers into a tie. Yet, the hockey gods said no. In real time, I didn't see anything conclusive to justify the penalty shot. In replays, it still didn't seem justifiable, but believable. The missed spearing call was blatant, and that's why there is 4 sets of eyes out there. The call giving the Flyers the PP was dumb, and I saw NO reason why they gave Callahan the matching penalty. A lot of good hits, good play by both teams. Great for Rupp. Lundquist stood on his head. Terrible display by the fans, booing the Canadian anthem, and hearing the various curses and cursing chants. Another game with annoying play calling by Emrich. More useless rants and drivel and stories spilling out of his mouth while gameplay was going on.
Eleven Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Only because this has a few bowl game references in it... Anyone see how that Wisconsin-Oregon game ended? QB spiked it, but time had already expired? Turns out, the same inability to sense time affects the basketball team, too: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=320030275 Eerie that it would happen to two teams from the same school in 24 hours.
spndnchz Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Dreger told the fine to Tortorella is "significant".
Eleven Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 Dreger told the fine to Tortorella is "significant". He tainted the Winter Classic with his mouth. His words.
Weave Posted January 4, 2012 Report Posted January 4, 2012 He tainted the Winter Classic with his mouth. His words. I laughed.
SwampD Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Tortorella fine is 30k. Worth it? Definitely not. I missed the pitchfork, but the penalty shot and holding the stick were good calls.
Eleven Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Tortorella fine is 30k. Worth it? Depends upon the taint, I guess.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 Tortorella fine is 30k. Worth it? He implicated the league of fixing games..........he should be suspended.
Who Else? Posted January 5, 2012 Report Posted January 5, 2012 He should be fired........................................So the Sabres can hire him.

darksabre Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 Busted. http://www.myfoxphil...gers-fan-attack He posted $100,000 bail huh? Someone has some experience with the legal system.
Claude_Verret Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Busted. http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/local_news/arrest-made-in-rangers-fan-attack Sabres fans are still worse... http://www.wralsportsfan.com/rs/story/10595158/ Philly fans are bad, but I'd still take them over Buffalo fans if I had the choice. I know someone who's THREE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER was cussed out by a Buffalo fan after the game the other day because she had a Canes jersey on.
darksabre Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 Sabres fans are still worse... http://www.wralsport...story/10595158/ Well what do Canes fans want? Once their kids are too old to eat the only thing you can do is yell at them for being born. Duh.
spndnchz Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Well what do Canes fans want? Once their kids are too old to eat the only thing you can do is yell at them for being born. Duh. Nah, they just need to simmer longer...
apuszczalowski Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Since this threads about the Winter Classic, rumors going around that next years could be Leafs/Wings at Michigans stadium where they held the college outdoor game, and they want to break attendance of over 100,000 fans.

apuszczalowski Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I had thought it would make a good christmas present for the girlfriend whos a Leafs fan. I would go because I like the redwings (as a second team behind the Sabres)
