TheChimp Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 At this point, I'd rather see them lose every game until Pegula gets off his rich ass and fires someone. This was supposed to end with that idiot Golisano and his puppet Quinn. Newsflash, it didn't end, it's still exactly the same. Happy effing new year indeed. :wallbash:
OverPowerYou Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 This year is just like last year. Slow start and we'll see a great end to the regular season. We're definitely better, it's just the injury bug has hit half our team at one point or another.

Hi Darcy, happy new year :P At this point, I'd rather see them lose every game until Pegula gets off his rich ass and fires someone. I don't need the Sabres to win everything to be happy following them, I just need to see them give a crap. They didn't under Golisano, and they sure as ###### don't do now.
neverenough Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 This team makes me drink to much, i need to find a different hobby.
itbeatswalking Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I really wish they are in the winter classic again soon. I want to see what happens in the locker room. That hbo show is amazing.
LGR4GM Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Who says must win? at this point I hope they lose and continue to lose so this mediocrity will die! The one thing I can't stand its freaking mediocrity year after bloody freaking year.

You no that look you get when you wear your bills jersey and your not in buffalo, does this mean im going to get that same look in my sabres jersey now? ;)
deluca67 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Who says must win? I doubt the players feel that way. I doubt they consider any game "must win." I expect the kind of effort tonight that screams "let's just get this game over so we can go to the party."
james duncan Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I've run out of reasons to watch this team.
deluca67 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I've run out of reasons to watch this team. If Time Warner was smart, they would start advertising the loss of MSG as a positive.
waldo Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Calmn is in order. if you need drugs to achieve it, See your physcian or dealer! The sky is not falling.
deluca67 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Calmn is in order. if you need drugs to achieve it, See your physcian or dealer! The sky is not falling. Must be hard for some to see the sky with their heads buried in the sand.
87168 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Well I'll be at this game. I could lie and say I'm not excited to see this game, but I won't. Their performance the last time they played Ottawa was sub-par as was their performance last night. GO SABRES!
waldo Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Must be hard for some to see the sky with their heads buried in the sand. Thank you for your kind words, :D . May I make a suggestion? Pick one player and watch him for the entire game. That way it takes the edge off the negatives that happen elsewhere becuse you only see a small percentage of them. If you happen to pick a guy like Ellis, you may end up feeling a bit positive after the loss because he has some real hockey sense and energy. I always liked finding kids like him . A good coach can take six or seven of those and beat the crap out of some far superior teams . So be happy De Luca. Life is short and there are a finite number of heart beats each of us is given . You only need to remain calmn for the next 15 games and the pain will diminish .

They might get confused though since it seems only a few of them know what it's like to have balls drop.
LGR4GM Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I present the sabres season as a metaphor:

sabres1970 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Quick question/suggestion for the Sabres: Why not (if this is within their power) schedule more saturday/sunday matinee games? I understand for tonight in particular New Year's Eve is a classic Sabres night. But what's stopping them from moving some of their other weekend games to the day time? I know, advertising. But I think it would be nice every once and a while.

But I think it would be nice every once and a while. NFL until February, then the NHL on NBC starts, so the NHL typically won't schedule additional games overlapping their featured games on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. I know that the Canadian teams and Anaheim in particular intentionally schedule a lot of games on Sundays.
spndnchz Posted December 31, 2011 Author Report Posted December 31, 2011 So Ehrhoff is out, possibly weeks with a rib injury. Brennan gets called up. Gerbe will dress for the warmup skate and possibly play. WTF happened to this team? Did someone literally piss ON the hockey gods?
