Eleven Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Myers Regehr Leopold EHRHOFF (that's for you, Amerk) Sekera Weber McNabb Gragnani That's eight. Does McNabb go down to Roch (hope not)? Do the Sabres keep eight on the roster but only dress six? Does Grags play wing (please, NO)?
Weave Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Gat Damm. We have depth everywhere but center. Something's gotta give. My gut tells me McNabb goes down and Weber/Grags rotate in and out of the lineup. I'd rather see McNabb play, but like Kassian I suspect his waiver status will make the decision to move him easy.

Get healthy, get a decent center, and get either one of these goalies to get the mojo back, and it's a good freaking team, you know?
Weave Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Get healthy, get a decent center, and get either one of these goalies to get the mojo back, and it's a good freaking team, you know? Well....... maybe. I still think we need to move a certain two of our top 6. Strong Corsi numbers or no.
Eleven Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Posted December 28, 2011 Well....... maybe. I still think we need to move a certain two of our top 6. Strong Corsi numbers or no. Oh, believe me, get rid of Stafford immediately. And if Roy's the other one, well, I don't hate him or love him. But...let's keep this one on the D, K?
thesportsbuff Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 I think Gragnani goes down or is a healthy scratch, and Weber/Sekera rotate. I'm not sure of the cap implications or everybody's waivers status, but If McNabb (or Kassian) go down, I might officially join Team Fire Lindy. You have to find a way to keep them in the lineup.
LGR4GM Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 McNabb could use the ice time he will get in Rochester, send him down and rotate whichever defender is playing well. At some point trade for that elusive center.

LGR4GM Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Are trade proposals out of the question? :P *runs for cover* something stamkos something something roy, something something millenials, something something malkin something something stafford something something something something getzlaf  ... there you go. o and Parise mother's, brother's, sister's, former roommate...
nfreeman Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 You girls mind if I cut in? Gat Damm. We have depth everywhere but center. Something's gotta give. My gut tells me McNabb goes down and Weber/Grags rotate in and out of the lineup. I'd rather see McNabb play, but like Kassian I suspect his waiver status will make the decision to move him easy. This sounds right, but if the Sabres could just string a few GD wins together, and if McNabb keeps playing well, he might just force his way in. I don't think Lindy or Darcy wants to play with the team's playoff chances for the sake of hanging onto MAG's rights. Get healthy, get a decent center, and get either one of these goalies to get the mojo back, and it's a good freaking team, you know? Right on. I'm not giving up just yet. Well....... maybe. I still think we need to move a certain two of our top 6. Strong Corsi numbers or no. For me it's the short SGM chief first and then see what happens with the other one.
LabattBlue Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 For me it's the short SGM chief first and then see what happens with the other one.
Andrew Amerk Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Obviously, you keep the top 7. Meaning, MAG goes somewhere else. Right?
beerme1 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 I agree with Weave. I think its Mcnabb. I think it will serve him well too. I agree with what Robie said last night. Youo tell him straight up hes not going down because he isnt performing. You tell himj due to the circumstances here we have to. Go down pplay and hard your full time shot is coming. Even though I agree with that Im not sure I could do it. I love seeing him play.

RazielSabre Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Trade Leopold and whoever is performing the worst gets stuck as 7th dman. IMHO.
TheChimp Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Only question I have about Myers is, will he come back 20 pounds heavier in muscle mass and ten times meaner? If not, I really don't care.
87168 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 I agree that as well as McNabb is playing he deserves ice time up in Rochester. I would love to see him stay up but Lindy's track record thus far shows that that's a slim possibility. But, if Lindy did keep McNabb up then sit Gragnani. MAGs can be a productive player but this season he has done more harm than good.
RazielSabre Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Only question I have about Myers is, will he come back 20 pounds heavier in muscle mass and ten times meaner? If not, I really don't care. You really are the least constructive member of this board, are you even a Sabres fan or a hater?
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 You really are the least constructive member of this board, are you even a Sabres fan or a hater? He has his views like everyone else, and most of the time I disagree with him, and even snapped at him once, but here, he does bring a valid point: which Myers is going to show up when he comes back? the one that was here for the playoffs and after his benching, or the one that was here for the first part of the season?
stenbaro Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Myers needs to be 110% healthy before he plays IMO. With the depth on the Defense there is no reason at all to rush him back. My 3 least favorite Defensemen on this team are in no particular order other than I hate it when they are on the ice Sekera Gragnani Leopold

If that was his point then it's valid, but the statement reads than unless his bigger and meaner then he 'doesn't care'. That is no Sabres fan to me.

Eleven Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Posted December 28, 2011 At least you're not asking for much. Gotta be reasonable, you know? The roster won't turn over in a single year.
